Family Affair Mission Walk Through

Share:

Scroll through all of your Modules until you find the Family Affair Limited Time Mission. This Mission isn't as bad as some of them that we've seen in the past. Other than a lot of high costing energy jobs in Brazil, there shouldn't be too much to get hung up on. There are none of those dreaded Mission Crew requests to deal with and no waiting to collect on properties. The drop rates for lootable items was really good and I see a lot of improvements with this Mission.
You will battle with two new Families created by Zynga in this Mission called [PMP] PM Punishers and (MoP) Merchants of Pain. I think they are excited about the new Family Module. Find the [PMP] Family page here and the (MoP) Family here.
The Godfather of PM Punishers is The Kid of Beat The Devs fame.

Part 1
Bad Seeds, Big Apple
Do the job "Protect your City against a Rival Family" located in the Hitman Tier of New York 15 times. It cost 31 energy per job so you're looking at a total of 465.
Taking out 15 of the [PMP] Newbies isn't as easy as it sounds. They only cost 2 stamina to attack and are easy to beat. What makes this task challenging is finding them. Because of the new Family Module, Family Tags now show up in red. The [PMP] noobs are no different and it's like playing Where's Waldo.
The loot rewards aren't bad especially when you consider this is only Part 1. You get 4 Venomous, 45 Car Parts and 5 Bulletproof Glasses. I'd much rather get building parts then some crappy loot item I can't use.
Part 2
Them's Fighting Words
Declare a war one time. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, you just need to declare to get credit for the task.
Build 2 vehicles from you Chop Shop. There is a 18 hour timer between crafts. If you don't want to wait, it's cheaper to buy the task off than to use Reward Points to speed up your timer. The bad part about doing that is you will miss out on the special ability points you get for crafting. I would just wait. We have 10 days.
Now we have to take out 12 [PMP] Family Leader and it's another round of Where's Waldo?. Each Family leader costs 4 stamina to attack.
Go over to the Hitman Tier and do the job "Exterminate a Rival Family" 12 times. This one costs 36 energy for a total of 432.
We get 9 Solar Panels as the loot reward.
Part 3
Invasion
Go to Brazil and activate 4 of your Mission Crew positions. If you don't have 4 players in your queue, generate a request by clicking on the "Recruit" button. The "Ask" button will take you to the gift request page for Brazil Crew members and nobody like to go there.
Make sure you activate the Lockpick position because it will help you save energy in the last task of Part 3.
Fight 20 opponents in Brazil. It can be the same player for all fights, you just need to fight 20 times. Once you do that go to the Belem District in Brazil and do the job "Intimidate the Local Crime Ring". You need to loot 10 Forearm Guards. The drop rate is nearly 100% and if you have your Lockpick bonus activated, you should only need to do the job 5 or 6 times. This may not be the case for all accounts and the drop rates could be adjusted at anytime.
The Forearm Guard is a useless Armory item that nobody should ever craft. I guess Zynga wanted to find a use for it. It seems odd to see it drop while doing a job.
The loot rewards for Part 3 are 4 Ottoman Krugs and 4 M45 Overcasts. I wouldn't exactly think of these as rewards. Most fighters should have tons of them.
Part 4
Family Matters
Declare war one time. Since you needed to declare a war in Part 2 of this Mission you will probably be stuck on a timer. You can declare one war every 8 hours.
Rob 9 Headquarters in Brazil.
Take out 15 Foot Soldiers from another Family created by Zynga called (MoP). Each one costs 6 stamina to attack.
Go to the Manaus District in Brazil and do the job "Gather Intel from Street Rats" 18 times. This job costs 351 energy and it will cost a total of 6,318 energy to complete the task.
The loot rewards are 5 Field Riders, 5 Special Parts and 45 Car Parts.
Part 5
Infiltration
Task one requires you win 15 fights in Brazil and in the second task you need to take out 15 (MoP) Enforcers. You might as well kill two birds with one stone and go wild on the fightlist. Unfortunately, the (MoP) attacks which cost 7 stamina will not count towards your total of fights won in Brazil.
Go to the District 3 in Brazil and do the job "Locate a Rebel Outpost" 15 times. At 405 energy a job, this will cost a total of 6,075 energy to finish.
The loot reward for Part 5 is 8 Aquariums. That's something most of us could do without. At least they are giftable so you can help you mafia members who haven't fully upgraded their Private Zoo.
Part 6
It's all Relatives
Win 20 fights in Brazil and ice 5 opponents to get the first 2 tasks complete.
I found it interesting that in the game kills are worth 2 ices but in the Mission they don't count towards your ice total. It's not that big of  deal since we only need to ice 5 players.
I had to do some manual fighitng for this one and laughed that I got the irregular behavior warning message twice.
Go to Region 2 in Italy and do the job "Sabotage A Rival" 18 times. At a cost of 40 energy per job, this was refreshing after dealing with those high energy Brazil job. A total of 720 energy is required (less if you get any Wheelman bonuses).
The loot rewards are 2 Harper 12's and 2 Pair of Security Gloves. The stats are starting to get better and I'm hoping there is an end to this Mission in sight.
Part 7
Darkness Gathering
You need to win one war. The description states that you need to "Rally the troops to Declare a War in Brazil and win!". I found this not to be true as I helped one of my mafia members when I wasn't in Brazil and got credit for the task.
 Rob 9 Barracks.
You need to go fight some more and loot 10 Laser Guided RPG's. The drop rate was really good so this should't take much effort.
Laser Guided RPG's are giftable but since the drop rate was so high, I didn't test to see if you could accept them as a gift and get credit for the task. It didn't work on the last Mission so I don't think it will on this one either.
Back to the high energy Brazil jobs! Go to District 3 and do the job "Blow Up a Munitions Dump" 18 times. This will cost 8,262 energy to complete as each job costs 459 energy. Since I was in a hurry to complete the Mission, I found it was cheaper to buy it off for 9 Reward Points than to buy an energy refill.
The loot rewards are 5 Spider Monkey's, 5 Special Parts and 45 Car Parts.
Part 8
Take 'em to the Cleaners
Finally the last part! Go to the fightlist in Brazil and look for (MoP) Lieutenants and take out 15 of them. Each one costs 10 stamina to attack. While you're there, you need to ice 10 opponents so do these tasks together.
Do another District 3 job in Brazil. "Open Fire on Rebel Fighters" costs 486 energy and you need to do it 15 times. That's a total of 7,290 energy. You can buy the task off for 8 Reward Points which is cheaper than a energy refill.
When you complete all tasks in Part 8, you get the Grand Prize loot item all a Death's Head.
It's really cool looking and has stats of 151/91. It's almost worth all that energy it costs to complete this Mission.

  1. these are never that tough to finish , nice loot item at the end and if collected right the xp is helpful. Just like the Femme Shot the Gloves should be for defense to keep up with the war bots and the Parkas, still cant figure out why they made the Femme Shot an attack item for a gain of 3 points, much more effective if its 81 defense but that would make to much sense

  2. Simple way to find the PMP or any or these Missions where you have to take out some special 'persons'...they don't have any *Mafia* so scan down the list of 501's or whatever till a blank catches your eye. Took me less than 30 seconds to do the 15 or whatever.

  3. Thank you Jen for an awesome job in helping us walk through this mission. It is great when you know what lies ahead in each part so that you are prepared before going ahead too fast.

  7. Most refreshing part of this mission: no "gather support from your Mafia" requirements or need to spam Feeds with gathering [insert item here] in ANY parts of the mission.

  8. Loot the Forearm Guards is not as easy as explained. I blew through over 4,000 in energy and only got two! gave up and bought the damn things!

  11. This has worked for other missions, and I assume it will work for this one. But when you need to "Win A War," it doesn't mean you need to declare war and win. It can be any war.. that is you can finish up a war for someone in your mafia (get in the LAST kill) and it will count as you "winning" a war. It's gotten trickier now that wars seem to go so quickly as I'm sure you've all noticed. But if you can camp out and refresh the war-frame until the last kill, you can get though that part of the mission without waiting 8 hours (?) until you can declare again.

  12. This mission for the people that already finished all the district and don't have place to spend their energy...so while waiting for new district, Zynga let them repeat all the high energy jobs in brazil..should be nothing to complain..since brazil property generate energy and stamina every 8 hours, plus 8 hours energy pack...
