Brawler Update

Share:

As more players are getting the new Fight Module, we are getting more and more questions about Brawler on the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page. I contacted Arun and he has the new Fight Module on his account. As you can imagine, it will take a bit to rewrite the script. Contrary to popular believe, Arun is not a machine and he does have a life outside of Mafia Wars. I suggest you take this time to see what it's like to fight manually so you can provide feedback to Zynga and let them know what's wrong with it (1). They are being responsive and we have already seen a few changes. When you get bored of fighting manually, go rob or do stamina jobs. Remember the saying that stamina is the new energy. You will find your experience/stamina ratios are much better with robbing. Arun did take some time yesterday to tell the members of the Mafia Task Force Forums what the current status of Brawler is. You can find his post here.

For review (I don't think many players read this), here is the Brawler 411 reprint from my blog. I even updated to include the latest information.

Brawler FAQ
Updated 06/04/2011 at 12:15

As previously posted, Zynga has revamped the fight system. Because of this, the current version (4.5) of Brawler will not work. The good news is Zynga is slowly releasing the new fight system. If you find yourself on the ass end of the slow roll, your Brawler will work just fine.
Q: Why doesn't Brawler work?
A: As explained above, many changes have been made to fighting. The code for Brawler is set up to read the old style of fighting not the new. The fight changes will be slowly rolled out to players to ensure stability within the game. Due to the gradual release it will not be immediately available to all players so those who have to wait can continue to enjoy the benefits of using Brawler and not risk getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Q: My friends Brawler works and mine doesn't. This isn't fair?
A: When Zynga releases new features into the game, they want to ensure that it does not create instability and functions in the way that it was intended. Although we try to release it to the wider audience as quickly as possible, it is imperative that we make sure that it will not interfere with your enjoyment of the game. Because you got the new features early, you will not be able to use the current version of Brawler no matter how many times you clear your cache.

Q: Can Customer Support compensate me for all the loot and ices I'm going to lose over this?
A: No. Our agents aren't authorized to compensate any players who are upset that they will have to click thousands of times a day. May we suggest that you utilize your stamina to rob if you aren't happy with your current situation. All robbing scripts are up and running.

Q: When will the next version of Brawler be available?
A: Arun has reviewed the new fight system. He will be working hard to get a new version of Brawler out as quickly as possible and will let you know when it is available.

Q: Where can I go to ask questions about Brawler?
A: Visit The Mafia Task Force Forums Aruns Helpers Page to get all the information you need about Brawler. The Spokholm Mafia Tools site is awesome but Brawler is not their tool. It wouldn't be nice to spam up their wall posts with your Brawler questions. Sending inbox messages to the Mafia Wars Loot Lady won't get you very far either.

Q: What is this Brawler you speak of and where can I get it?
A: Brawler is a bookmarklet that will scan the fightlist and fight targets for you. It doesn't make you a stronger fighter, it just performs click activities that you would normally do to burn through thousands of stamina. Find it at on the Code Outpost Bookmarklets Page. Just remember if you have the new Fight Module, the current version won't work. Until it's updated, you will have to be patient and wait.

  1. HA ha ha ha!!!!!
People are upset because they have to play the game. Maybe you should play a different game if it upsets you that you can't use your cheat programs to play for you.

  2. HA ha ha I have the same idea... if you can't play go away.... however... when I first got this new thing it was working fine but only for a few hours now the only time I get the hit again button is when I lose so any time my health is over 20 I am the victim of the bots and others that don't have it yet.

  3. For the posters who think they know it all...please tell us how long you think it would take to burn off 7k stamina fighting manually. I'll give you a clue, around 6 hours of click click click. Guess you will be "playing a different game" when it takes 3 days of click click click on the fight page to level up once. Low level punks...

  4. I can do 7k in 1/2 an hour easy. That was your choice to have that much stamina, now you cry because you actually have to burn it yourself.

  5. I need to get rid of 12k stamina a day. Brawler is not a cheat but something what makes possible to continue playing this game after I reached very high level. This is not possible to click that much. I click a lot anyway and my arm hurts bad. Brawer or quiting mafia, this is about my health!

  6. Cheat or quit? I think you should quit.

  8. There's no way that anyone can manually use 7k stamina fighting in half an hour. Like I said before, low level punks that don't have a clue ...

  9. With enough health and the right targets 10k stamina can be used fighting manually in 1/2 an hour.

  11. It's true 8-10K stamina could be spent over 1/2 hour. I could level up 3 times under 1/2 hour which makes me use 6K+ stamina and 4.5K energy. Just because some of you are spoiled with automated fighting which really equal to cheating (any use of 3rd party apps which helps players gained advantage over developer's intention gameplay are considered cheating), don't say spending 7K+ stamina under 1/2 hour impossible.

New fight module makes spending Stamina thru fighting way faster than previous fight module...brawlers, battlefield and other auto-fight script can't compare to manual fights. I myself use Brawler when I'm too busy to handle manual fight.

To be honest, live target availability on fightlist before new fight module release is due to the ABUSIVE use of automated fight scripts. Since new fight module release, I saw how lively fightlist get with many available live targets.

  13. Seemed like Brawler was working better. I'll enjoy it while I can for expediency and embrace fighting manually when I have to again. I find fighting manually very cathartic when I get a rhythm going - assuming there's not an event going on generating a ton of pop-ups.

  14. I just rob now for a change instead of fighting, gets those stats up a bit, and the rewards are similar to fighting

  16. At Robbing level 10 you can get nearly 2.5/1 exp per stamina, so it is actually better than fighting. Of course this is assuming you win most of your robbings and it will depend on your att/def rating.
