I told you all about the video that Direct Relief made to thank Zynga and the Mafia Wars players who helped donate to the relief effort in Japan (1). I thought this was really cool and it looks like Zynga did too. There is now a Home Page ad featuring the video. When you click on it, it goes to the Direct Relief YouTube Channel and you can see the video. One thing I often bring up is that Zynga has the best platform to disseminate information than any of the "media people". The game is viewed by all players. This is the perfect example of how to effectively use this as a platform to spread the word. If you are wondering how money gets donated to causes, Nate explained to the PAC that there is a calculation that determines what Zynga donates based on the number of Marketplace loot items that players purchased with Reward Points. Facebook also contributed and was happy to do so.

So that means that if i buy one of the charity marketplace items with reward points gained from leveling and mystery bags alone, they will donate!
