Fight or Rob? Part 2

Share:

A few days ago, I compared fighting to robbing to see which was a better use of stamina to get the new fighting loot items (1). I did two small runs because there were bugs and I didn't go into much detail about the data. Now that the bugs have been fixed, it's time to take a closer look at the drop rates and compare fighting and robbing. Most players fight in Brazil because it's faster and you get more loot items. Most are finding that the more loot drops in New York than the other destinations even though it costs less stamina to clear a board in Italy. We get loot items for robbing board clears and random individual robberies. I did two 50K+ stamina runs on the same account and they are compared below.
Fighting: Brazil
Stamina Used: 50,140
Robbing: New York
Stamina Used: 51,272
Here is the raw data of each run in case you want to review a specific loot item I didn't mention.
You do get Victory Coins when robbing. They aren't mentioned in the game or logged anywhere. Martin said that he was going to look into adding a logging function for Victory Coins in the new Robber BG bookmarklet. I did my fight run prior to the robbing run so I took a screen shot of my Victory Coins after the robbing run and calculated how many I earned robbing.
In a perfect world, I would have a large fighting run in New York to show you. Once you fight in Brazil, it's hard to go back to other destinations. Here is a much smaller run but we can compare the stamina cost per item.
Fighting: New York
Stamina Used: 20,212
The chart below sums up and compares the important data of the three runs. From the data below (which is specific to my account and will be different on yours), I got a lot more bang for my stamina buck from fighting. What's important to note about robbing is the exp/stamina ratio. If you are able to level non-stop from robbing, it's better to rob for your loot items as you can keep going. There is also a bug in robbing in which the same loot item is awarded for board clears over and over. If you are lucky to catch that then robbing is better. Fighting will cost you less stamina per item but you won't get to the next level as quickly.

  2. I find Brazilian timber and construction workers are a lot more elusive than they appear on your stats board and I rob and fight every day

  3. regarding timbers and workers..i routinely drop these in fair quantities fighting in new york, burning 8-13K stamina a day. my brazil builds all complete, sitting on extra 170 timbers 160 workers, all dropped from fighting for VC in new york.

  4. When you fight in Brazil using the Brawler... is it best to check or leave unchecked "Attack only if Cash from same city" or does it matter?

    Thanks :o)

  5. Anon...the only way you get 5x loot drops is if attacker and opponent are in same city (brazil)

  7. This might not be the right place, but I'm sure someone from spockholm is reading this, so..
Would it be possible to implement save/load stats to some scripts like robber BG?
I wanted to do a long robbing run and log stats from beginning of robbing level 8 to beginning of robbing level 9. Somewhere in middle robber froze (run out of slots to rob.. one slot in middle of board was not robbed and script got confused). Would be nice if I could at this point save stats, reload, load stats and continue without having to put few different logs together later.
