Should I Fight or Rob?

Share:

Now that we get the same loot items in robbing as we do in fighting, we need to decide which is a better way to utilize your stamina. I did a robbing run in Italy and a fight run in Brazil with about the same amount of stamina on the same account. You will notice that a greater variety of property upgrade parts were added to the items that drop in both fights and robs. I wish Italy upgrade parts dropped when I was working on my Villa! Although none were captured on the run below, Construction Workers and Brazilian Timbers do drop when robbing.
Robbing
Stamina Used: 20,221
 Fighting
Stamina Used: 20,205
Here is the raw data of each run if you are interested in reviewing all the loot items and comparing the drop rates. I highlighted the best items in yellow. It's quite obvious that it's better to fight than rob if all you're interested in is loot. Robbing does give a better stamina/exp ratio. It should also be noted that fighting in Brazil is messed up so divide the number of items from the run shown below by 5 because that is what is actually added to your inventory at the moment. Zynga is still working hard to fix this. For a very brief time yesterday, FHEL5 items were dropping at a much better rate when robbing compared to fighting. This was an obvious error and Zynga was able to fix that within an hour. There will be much more information on FHEL5 drop rates in future posts.

  1. Dear Jen, while th test is accurate in its content, that is, the fight drop rate for FHEL5 is greater that in robbing, I think I should mention that there are many players out there who have characters with a high stamina skill... now if these players rob in New York as class 10 robbers, they will achieve 2.70 average on stamina/xp ratio and thus they have the ability to gain levels continuously and thus use huge amounts of stamina in short periods of time and acquire the new FHEL5s that are dropping from robbery, really, really fast. Many such players have already maxed out the FHEL5s. ...Just thought this should be mentioned as a strategy or advice for those players who have such characters...

  2. @ Nagy. I Agree Totally..... But on the same train of thought as I can Level continiously from fighting as well as Long as xp ratio stays over 2.29 it really does depend.... BUT atm I am un able to do large stam burns on the fight list to test drop rates etc due to being hit non stop by a clan..... As soon as I can I will do a few 100k stam burns in Brazil and a few 20k Stam Burns in every other city to determine the drop rates of everything at the same amount of fights fought......

Will be interesting to determine which cities once and for all offer the best drop rates of VC, Loot and xp at the same fights fought instead of stamina used

  3. Hi, when running Robber last night, I watched for a bit and noticed a stone column from Italy dropped but it didn't appear on the loot list.

  4. @ Anthony, currently I am able to burn 300K stamina in 8 hours with robbing, where the drop rate is low, as Jen proved it... that amounts to a drop of 420 FHEL5s (this 8 hours also includes the time 'wasted' to burn energy also, but for the sake of the runs I do, lets stick to 8 hours), After you escape from the War you are in, could you do a simple 8 hour stamina burn in fighting, to determine the amount of FHEL5 that gets you, for comparison. Of course there is no real hurry in acquiring the new Fight Loot, (other than the fact that you feel good that you managed to max it out before a new generation of top loot is rolled out :P) but the point is that burning stamina via robbing is much faster than doing it via fighting and thus the results are different.
