There is a new vehicle available for purchase in the Marketplace for 25 Reward Points. An Old World ATV sounds kind of boring to me. The stats are a reminder to not buy loot items from the Marketplace.
In case you miss the Old World ATV on page number three of the Featured Items, it's also featured on page number eight.
Remember all those too cool Fast & Furious cars that you just had t have? Well the Old World ATV costs 10 Reward Points less and is a more powerful attack vehicle. Too bad they don't let you trade up so you won't feel ripped off. My advice to anybody is to spend your Reward Points on Skill Points and you won't have to go through all the buyers remorse every time new and better loot is introduced.

i totally agree-i spend all my rp's on extra weapons in the depot--way better then buying skill points in the marketplace, you get 6 att/def for 12 rp's vs 4 skills for 14 rp's in the marketplace--spend you rp's wisely peps :D
ReplyDeleteA naive question about Skill Points:
ReplyDeleteIf you add Skill Points to your Attack and Defense, either by way of your Profile page, or via some of the New York and italy Property purchased items (e.g. Mugati Sport +3 Attack), shouldn't that make your overall Attack and Defense go up? (also called Modified Attack and Defense on the Zynga website)
Since my Attack and Defense were around 134,000, adding Skill Points doesn't seem to affect them. Now, closing in on 140,000, I'm wondering if I should continue to add Skill Points. I would think, "Add 5 Skill Points to Attack, my Modified Attack should go up by 5" but no, this doesn't happen. Buy a Mugati, and no effect on my Modified Attack, even though the base Attack number will change accordingly.
Of course, if I get a High End Loot item (HEL), then yes, my Modified Attack, or Defense goes up.
On the other hand, this base number Attack and Defense may still have an effect on fighting, so maybe it is still smart to add them.

I disagree with this approach. Take for example, the Sea Eagle. It's drop rate is so low you would spend an eternity getting enough of them to have a good (current) attack animal, and probably enough reward points on refills (remember, even one from the Fight Club will cost you 5RP). Yet, if boosting your equipment stats is important I'd suggest using the Pawn Shop and buying the Pacific Manta for 5RP (plus some old loot) - and it's one point more than the eagle. Yes, skill points are important - but very often I find myself attacking someone with a higher personal defense but they have a lower equipment defense and I win.
ReplyDeleteI was looking through stuff I bought in the marketplace - I'm still using lots of it, and probably will for a long time to come (quite a lot is 80+, especially those divine Egypt Crates which I bought lots of). True, you can't for a second imagine what Zynga will pull out of their hat - the FHEL4, for example - but it is not realistic to assume a lot of these items are going to be redundant in six months or even a year. I think if you have 150k+ in either your attack or defense you must have Market Place items in your inventory.
My questions stil stands..
ReplyDeleteIs there a point where adding Skill Points to your Attack and Defense will no longer cause the "Modified" Attack and Defense to go up?
If I am at 3,000 Attack, and 140,000 Modified Attack, and I add 4 Skill Points to Attack, shouldn't I now have 140,004 ?
This is not happening, even though my Attack goes to 3,004 :(
