Sixteen days ago, I told you about a Zynga event called PokerCon (1). Maybe not enough people signed up because there is an ad for it in our Mafia Wars game complete with a cool image of the Palms Casino and Resort.
Clicking on "Learn Mort Now!" will take you to the Zynga PokerCon Home Page.
What has changed is since I last posted about this event is that some awesome Professional Poker Players will be now be in attendance. I live in Las Vegas and spent a few years playing poker full time and was able to meet Annie Duke, Antonio Esfandiari, Mike Sexton and Doyle Brunson. I'm still bummed that I will be out of town during this weekend and won't be able to attend.
What ever happened to the Mafia Wars Convention that was suppose to take place in Las Vegas??? It was scheduled for October 15th (1) then postponed until "Early 2011"(1).
The last I heard about the Mafia Wars Convention was when we were asked to fill out a survey about the potential dates in early December (1). March 4th is definitely out since it's March 6th right now and nothing has been announced for the end of March. Maybe it will happen in late April as indicated on the survey. I wonder if the Zynga Poker people stole the Mafia Wars convention!

You sure have had an interesting life so far Jen. Played poker full time, met Annie Duke, Doyle, Mike, Antonio and you've done a lot of cool stuff being the MW Loot Lady. Plus you live in Vegas. I envy you. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like there are going to be a lot if fish at the tables that weekend. Zynga poker school...they need to do something for their players :))
ReplyDelete@Holdan, interesting is a good word, envious, not so much. I was cool to play poker but I never made it into the big leagues. It was cool to meet the all players the pros through out the years and they are the ones that I envy. @Rugger, I'm not sure what role the pros will serve but I would hope they players would be the ones eligible for the prize money. Wish I could go and try.
