When a small group of new accounts came out with Manhattan instead of New York, everyone was trying to get one. Da Irish Kid from the Mafia Wars Wiki must have started 300 accounts until he got one. It was worth his efforts because he did an awesome job on the Mafia Wars Wiki Manhattan Page. After the newness evaporated, many with Manhattan realized it wasn't as great as it sounded. With the advent of Missions, players on the Manhattan server found out very fast that they were at a disadvantage because they couldn't perform any tasks that were based in New York. If you are one of these players, you have to contact Customer Support to get your Mission completed. It is now possible to contact Cerulean Master and send him a Private Message to get New York back on your account (1).

To send Cerulean Master a private message, go to the Zynga Forum Board and sign in. If you haven't done this before, use the Facebook connect. Once you are logged in, go HERE and leave your Facebook ID# and indicate that you don't want Manhattan on your account. If you want Manhattan, don't bug CM as he can't get it for you. Maybe Da Irish Kid will give you his!

ReplyDeleteYou DON'T want Manhattan. There is a facebook group now for those of us who had it and the comments aren't very nice. There is a ton of other issues other than not having any missions.
I BEGGED Zynga as did the others on the group to let us have "regular" New York. Many of us have been requesting to be moved to New York for over 3 months. Most of us were told it wasn't possible because it was a "different server" and they couldn't move the accounts.
Suddenly, about 26 hours ago, we find out it takes under a minute and isn't a problem to switch at all!!! HUH? None of us are very happy about being mislead on that. I guess Zynga wanted a test group so they had to KEEP us there for awhile to see how we progressed.
So, last night I moved from Manhattan to New York and fast tracked New York by buying energy refills as I had lost ALL my bonuses when they moved us from Manhattan. That means having to do the EVERY job, even the beginning low-ratio ones!
We all think it's greener on the other side! I know I will never regret leaving Manhattan. We missed out the the M50 Kelly, the Lion Fish and the Embargo Net. Some may get them by asking Customer Service reps and some may not!
So, count your blessings! There are quite a few of us on the Manhattan server that are breathing a big sigh of relief and are glad that it is all over!
EEwie, I just went thru this with my account... I agree, Manhattan SUX!.. I didnt realize I had lost all my bonuses.. That sux, being a more att/def than energy its gonna take awhile to finish it, but on the upside we do get all the skill points
