Hitlist Notifications

Share:

It was brought to my attention during a Player Advisory Committee chat session that some players are not getting notifications of when they are placed on the hitlist and who put them there.  I decided to check this out by placing myself on the hitlist from my energy account. I was cheap an only offered a 10,000 bounty, whoever knocks me off will get 80% of that since there is a 20% fee.
Here I am waiting to be attacked.
I waited the few minutes it would take for me to get snuffed (bringing your total health to zero).
I went to my Player Updates and had to check the Top News, Recent News and Combat sections.  I saw from my Top News and Combat Sections the players who attacked me while I was on the hitlist.
The next time I looked at my Player Updates, I noticed this guy came out of now where and snuffed me in two hits. I bet that pissed off attacker #1 from above after he did all that work. This update was found in the Combat section but still didn't tell me who put out the bounty.
This information can be found in the Recent News section. You can find out here which player placed you on the hitlist, how much the bounty was and which player knocked you off.  Why there are 3 different types of update tabs is beyond me. I think one is plenty and would make things easier. It would also be nice if you could set how long your updates go back for.
If you get e-mail notifications or text messages from Zynga, you will also be notified when you are placed on the hitlist and by who.
There is an option to get revenge and you will be told more information by clicking on it.  If you haven't collected your daily e-mail bonus, it's worth it to click on the the e-mail.
One of the ideas that was brought up in the PAC chat and posted by a player on my fan page is to have a 4th category on the Rivals List that will list those who put you on the hitlist. I think this is a great idea and would eliminate a lot of the searching it takes to find this information.

Thanks to Bill and Mindy from the PAC and Sam for helping me put this together.

  2. I've never liked hit listers. I keep a list of them. Whenever I have the time, I use an anonymous account that is all stamina and hitlist all from my list who are alive. If I have a lot of time, I send them a message from that account giving my opinion of hit listers.

  7. another thing is that you only get 1 text alert about being placed on the hit list per day, no metter how many times you've been placed there.

  8. Did you get approval to have his face on your blog. Glad you did apologize to him on the other things.

  9. @Anonymous, I do't need to get permission to post any names or images on this blog. They are the property of Zynga and Zynga lets third parties use game images and the fact it's their property is covered in the disclaimer. I usually blur that stuff out as not to upset anybody and this was a rare time that I didn't because for that image, I wasn't on the computer that has my program on it. I could have just pulled the image and blurred it but chose to apologize and edit the wording as the damage was already done. I have spoken to John and everything is cool now.

  10. Wrong. It is NOT posted in Recent News. There are some insidious hit listers out there and there seems to be no way of telling who put the bounty on you.

The only way I can "get even" is go after the bounty hunters themselves.

It seems that just about every time I first start to MW in a day - bam - some asswipe hit lists me with his cronies. I've tried looking at hitlist viewer - which seems lame, by the way and no luck.

They are not always the same people either. It seems like it is spread around, but I do get some petes and repeats.

Now, can you really tell us who hit listed us when it doesn't show anywhere at all - not MW, not e-mail, nothing?

Please help a sorry assed MW player - who plays without add-ons and does not cheat.
