Now that the initial bugs in the Brazil Missions have been fixed, I was able to do the first Boss Fight and move on with the Missions. To get a better idea of what Missions are ahead, don't forget to check the Mafia Wars Wiki Missions Page for updates.
The first thing you learn is that you need to have more than 20 health to fight him. That's nothing new but I always forget to heal before I start one of these things.
Lieutenant Sandoval has 5,874 health. There aren't any timers on these Boss Fights so I'm not sure the time frame on health regeneration. Maybe they forgot to add a timer and we will see one soon.
You can your mafia for help one every 30 minutes.
If you return to the fight at a later time, you will get a pop-up telling you who helped.
When you defeat the boss, you get a notification but you have to go back to the Mission to collect the reward.
You can share this victory with your mafia and they can get a bonus for clicking on your post.
Mike Nestor clicked on mine and all he got was a Faming Shot.
The first Boss Fight mastery item is a Sandoval Vest with stats of 91/62. It's a Bronze Level so it looks like we will have to fight this guy 3 more times for a total of 20 Boss Fights with the new Brazil Missions. It feels like they forgot to add them to the destination itself and threw them with the Missions as an after thought.

Ya i just finished up the 2nd missions set.. Check my post about the missions.. and the lieutenant was only 2000 health.. next boss was 3744 health.. it varies based on your level.. just like the experience gained..
ReplyDeleteEven if they did throw the boss fights in as an afterthought, I kind of like it better this way. Now that the mastery items for the districts are equipment, you get 2 Ultimate level pieces of equipment per region, and having the boss fight as part of a mission instead of just tacked onto the end of the region gives the game a little more depth. Brazil would be boring if it were just another Italy with slightly better loot.
