Here is something we rarely see on the
Mafia Wars Fan Page. Tips that make our game better are always appreciated. Yesterday, Facebook went a little overboard with the updates (Zynga, now you know how we feel!) and did something that had a detrimental effect on the Mafia Wars spam campaign. Facebook settings were adjusted so that you won't see all of your mafia members or fan page posts.
You never know when you may find something useful in the news feeds so it's a good idea to adjust your settings so you can see everyones posts. Here is how you can fix this issue to ensure that you see all of your mafia members spam.
1. Go to your home page (not your profile page).
2. Scroll to the bottom of this page (aka your news feeds) and click on "Edit Options" located in the lower right corner.
3. Select "All of your friends and pages" from the Edit your News Feed Settings page and click save.
Now you see all of the Mafia Wars spam from all of your mafia members!
This game is out of control with the spam and now they want to make sure we get the posts from above from 5,000 of our friends! Is that enough to get the point across? Ok, one more. I'm sure I forgot a few but is all this spam necessary? No wonder we need to all make secondary accounts because our real life friends get annoyed.
I created a friends list with just my MW friends. Each time I post a MW spam feed, I change the setting so it only shows to that list of friends and others don't get bored. I have been doing this for quite a while now and find this working well. I do not post every iced or every stash, only when they are worth it once in a while.

ReplyDeletethats funny you said our real friends get annoyed. that is exactly why i threw away a year and half of mw time and started a new profile. but ive benefited from starting over. because of your blog ive transformed the way ive played. im stronger and more acknowledge and have actually caught up to my main profile. doesnt hurt with old city bonus though...lol
