Atlantic City Update

If you go to Atlantic City via your travel bar, you will notice the page has changed. Gone is the angry red head and in her place is a big phone with your picture on it (provided you are signed in).

One thing that is confusing players outside of the US is the feature at the top that lets you get a text message from Mafia Wars with the link to play Atlantic City on your phone.  It says "US ONLY" but that is only for the option to have a link sent to your phone and NOT for playing.  Residents of all countries can play Atlantic City from their phones or PC's.

I entered my phone number and got the following text message.

Zynga decided not to keep it a big secret that you can also play the game on your PC.  Now they are suggesting you try the game on your PC and use your phone next time. Maybe this is because nobody wants to waste energy and not enough players are going to Atlantic City. I can only guess, but the ratios really suck and there is no strategic reason to do Atlantic City other than to complete it and get some Skill Points.

You have to go to m.mafiawars.com to get started. If you're not signed in, just hit the "Connect with Facebook".

If your phone isn't one of the compatible phones listed, try installing the Bolt Browser and you should be able to play on any phone with a web browser.

Nothing has really changed except for the layout. Instead of all that dead space, you now play on a fake phone. It's much more compact and not such an eye sore.  Here are a few of the screens.

When you do jobs and fight, it all stays in a little window.  I won't waste anymore energy on Atlantic City from my main account and had plenty of energy to do a lot of jobs.  We finally have an answer to the origin of the mysterious Gray Fox.  It was an unreleased item in our inventory that nobody knew what it was for. It drops in Atlantic City Chapter 4.  Here are some other loot drops.

According to Bossy Don from TopMafia.Info (1), the Top Mafia bonuses are being displayed. I found this not to be true on the accounts I tested. You can see below I used 23,915 energy and never got any Top Mafia Bonuses to show up. Mike Nestor also tested this out on his accounts and got the same results as me.  I also did about 100 or so jobs on my account that has mastered Atlantic City and didn't get any Parkour Masters. I think these are no longer dropping and should have been Gray Foxes all along.
