The Official Mafia Wars Blog made a post today that Italy Region 6-8 were coming soon. I'm hoping this will happen very soon. All we really have been told is that it will be sometime this week. Check out the image in this post. Notice it says "Regions" and not "Districts" like it does in our game.
We, the players, believed the new regions were going to come out yesterday and it never did. It got me thinking and I looked back and feel I may have played a roll in this. When the formerly named Italy Regions 6-8 Preview Week page (now named
Italy Regions 6-8 411) was posted, I didn't pay enough attention to the wording. It said that the Official Mafia Wars Italy Regions 6-8: 411, Factoids, and FAQ would be posted on January 24th. There was no mention to the fact that the Regions would be released on this day.
I was to excited and quick to make a post that I even titled it as if the Regions would be here on the 24th. I wasn't alone in spreading the word as most of the other sites eluded to this as well. Maybe it was suppose to come out on the 24th and got delayed for any number of reasons but Zynga never did post anywhere that it was an official release date. I apologize to anyone who refreshed their game more than 10 times on Jan 24th looking for the new Regions.
