The Green Hornet Loot Drop Event is upon us and I would hardly call this an event. The answer to the question we all had about how many of these loot items we can collect is one of each. The items drop at a fast rate and it's all over before you know it. When you log in, you get the pop-up that tells you all about it. You have 8 days to find all of the 7 items. If it takes you more than one, you don't play enough!
Just start doing jobs or fights and wait for your items to drop. As each one drops you get a pop-up. Four will drop from jobs.
Three will drop from fights.
The Chudnovsky's Mask and the Gas Gun are also available on the Free Gift page.
Once you find the 7th item, you will get the Grand Mastery Item which is the Black Beauty and has stats of 90/45.
You can brag about getting any of these items to your mafia but it won't do much for you or them. When your friends click on "Go Green Hornet", all they get is a redirect to their Mafia Wars home page.
If you want more from this event, don't attempt to farm for more items as you will be wasting your time. As of now, you can only have one of each item. I did a 5,000 job run on my energy account in hopes of getting a drop rate and I only got one of each job drop item. I have 2 Gas Gun's because I accepted one of them before doing the run. Notice my energy account still doesn't have the new Inventory page!
Once you master the event, the Free Gift items will convert to Mystery Bags.
The only way to get more items from this event is to buy the Kato's Motorcycle from the Marketplace. Notice they don't have a one item cap on that!

ReplyDeleteI've done over 3000 fights and have not had one item drop. Nothing from jobs either.

My primary acct, not so good. It only has 5 items. One of which i got by way of gifting. Oh, and the info: If it started at midnight, i approximate that i gained 30 levels. So thats 30x 12,000 energy used. And i still havent seen a reference pop up, nor can i find it anywhere. I had to search through my inventory, using the info above, to even find the items.
Easy for some...not so much for the odd doggie.
