The Official Mafia Wars Blog has posted some more information on the Holiday Mission Event. The current mission we have been working on is called Holiday Traffic. The next one we will see is Stuff the Bird. This one will offer a loot item called Tetanus which is a defensive weapon with a score of 39/63. That's all I can find on additional missions and loot items so look for this new mission which is "coming soon".
These missions were truly fun additions to the game when the Zyngon's first introduced them. The mission completion rewards offset the annoyance of massive stamina/energy usage for a low EXP ratio.
ReplyDeleteThen (surprising absolutely nobody that has played this game for any length of time), the Zyngon's had to get "cute" and "nerf" the rewards.
Surprise, Surprise! People quit playing the new missions.
Now, Zynga is giving us the opportunity to post for help (beg) your friends to help on these missions much more often. Heck, you can even start them over. What you can't do though is important- You can't force the person that you are assisting to get their act together and finish their mission. The new rewards, which have lower stats than the new FHeL3, are simply not worth the stamina/energy used. You have no control over another person's mission.
Do you part and "hope" they do theirs for loot that isn't as good as what drops by fighting?
Zynga, give me the ability to "boot out" the mission boss when that person is not filling the job slots. Give me some way to salvage that job. And for once, don't make me have to spend a bunch of RP to do it.
While complaining is fun at times, in order to be truly helpful one should offer an idea for an improvement. My idea for the Zyngons?
When less than 24 hours are left in what was originally a 72 hour, 7 person mission, offer the entire mission to the group at large (boot out the mission leader in otherwords). Leave all finished slots alone. Leave all partially finished slots alone. Give the helper a chance to ensure that their energy/stamina is not wasted and people will start doing these en mass again.
Heck, it wouldn't hurt if you raised the stamina/energy ratio to 2.5 either
They should have better rares with 70+ a or d. Im not gonna bother with these new ones.
