Stream and Brutus Helper for The Armory Depot

Now that the Armory Depot is here and the building parts don't drop by doing jobs, fights or robberies, it's time to use the Stream and Brutus Helper (and list FB Friends) bookmarklets by Team Spockholm.   

STREAM HELPER FOR THE ARMORY DEPOT

Stream Helper will send Armory parts to your mafia members.  When you send one, you will get one in return.

If you already use Stream Helper, you will notice that the Armory Depot has been added to the Building parts section.  If getting Armory Parts is all you care about, un-check everything but this box before your start the scan.  If you haven't used this bookmarklet before, read the instructions at the bottom of this article.

I did a small run and only had it search one hour worth of posts.  Since I was close to leveling, I also had it scan for job help requests so I could get the experience points I needed.  Once I leveled, I stopped the program and gained 22 building parts.

This small run gave me enough parts to upgrade my Armory Depot to the next Level.

I have no choice but to use these bookmarklets,  When I ask my mafia to send parts this is all I get.  I will let you know when Arun adds the Armory Depot to the Feed Helper Bookmarklet.

BRUTUS HELPER FOR THE ARMORY DEPOT 

Brutus Helper will scan each of your mafia members Facebook profile page and collect any bonuses.  If you have a large mafia, it's recommended that you create a manual list by using the List FB Friends.  If you haven't used Brutus Helper before, read the instructions at the bottom of this article.

The same thing as Stream Helper applies here.  Un-check everything except the things you want Brutus to do.  The recommended settings are 3-6 seconds between checks so it takes a while to do a run.  You don't want to mess with these settings because it's a Facebook thing and we all know how vulnerable our Facebook accounts are.  I only cared about the Armory Bonuses for this run.

I'm not sure what is going on, but I think we are supposed to get Armory building parts when accepting these bonuses.  I believe this may be a glitch on Zyngas side.  For now, when you run Brutus Helper, you won't get the Armory Building Parts.  Instead you will get the actual Armor items.   

I checked my inventory to see if any of these items were good and was disappointed to see I got a useless Armor items.  I'm not sure if the items you receive are relative to the level of your Armory Depot.  I'm only a Level 2 and these are the items that would drop from the Mystery Armor builds.  Please comment if you are getting better Armor items than I got or know if the intended bonus is a piece of crap non-giftable loot item.

Stream Helper Instructions (reprinted from an earlier post)
1.  From the Beta Page on The Spockholm Mafia Tools Website, locate the box with Stream Helper Beta in it.

2.  Click, drag, and drop the box into your bookmark toolbar.

3.  Go to your Mafia Wars Home Page and click once on Stream Helper Beta to unframe your page and click a second time to activate. The program will open up on your screen.

4.  Now fill in all the boxes correlating to the items you would like this program to search for.  Fill in how many hours you would like it to scan, the delay between checks (it is recommended that you do not set the delay too quickly), and if you want it to pause before it's time for you to level up.  You can have the program collect all kinds of stuff.  I'm just using the bonuses for this article since I'm discussing the Global Cup Promotion.  If this is your first time using the program, you have to check the "Ask for permission" box. When you click "Scan", you will get a prompt from Facebook and you have to allow this program access.  Once you do this, reprogram another scan.  You won't have to do this again.

5.  Wait for the program to scan the posts you chose.  If you checked Autostart, it will automatically start accepting the items it found during the scan.  If not than you will need to start it manually.  You can minimize the window and open a new one to do Facebook stuff or you can take a break from cyberspace and do something productive.  It's fun to come back to the program and see what you got.  While I was folding laundry, I gained 480 experience points and 29 boosts!

Brutus Helper and List Facebook Friends Instructions (reprinted from an earlier post).
If you want to collect as many Chop Shop Bonuses as possible but don't feel like searching through your  News Feeds, clicking, and finding out that all the items are already taken, Team Spockholm has the tools for you.  Brutus Helper and Stream Helper will search and collect for you!  Please note that these tools ONLY search your News Feeds and click on the posts from your mafia members.  They do NOT steal items from other players.  There was a false rumor going around about a program called The Snagbar.  Some in the Mafia Wars community were on a mission to delete and block any of their friends who were fans of Gamers Unite because they thought The Snagbar was stealing Mafia Wars loot.  The funniest thing about this rumor is that The Snagbar is a tool for Farmville and doesn't even work on Mafia Wars.  If you don't like people using these tools because you think it's not fair that you are unable to collect the bonuses, you may need to get over it and learn to use them yourself.  Even if nobody used these tools, you would probably still be too slow.

If you are new to using bookmarklet programs, read the following articles I wrote for beginners on bookmarklet installation and common problems (1),(2).
1.  Go to The Spockholm Mafia Tools Beta Page and locate Brutus Helper Beta.

2.  Click, drag and drop Brutus Helper Beta into your bookmarklet toolbar.

3.  Go to your Mafia Wars game.  There are several different ways you can go from here.  If you go to your gifting page, you can use the internal list of friends.  If you have a large mafia, the program may take longer to run because it will check everybody on your list including the non-MW players.  If you choose this option, go to your gifting page and from your bookmark toolbar click on Brutus Helper Beta once and your screen will look like the second screen shot.  To scan for only The Chop Shop Bonuses, uncheck everything except "Chop" and click start and Brutus will start scanning and logging The Chop Shop Loot for you.

 

Here are the results of a small run.  235 FB profile pages were checked and I got 2 Future Shock 1985's. 

I have a large mafia so I decided to enter my list manually using another bookmarklet program from Team Spockholm called List FB Friends.  This tool will give a lists of Facebook friends who are Mafia Wars players, non-Mafia Wars players, or both.  To use this bookmarklet follow the instructions below:
1.  Go to the The Spockholm Mafia Tools Beta Page and locate List FB friends.

2.  Go to your Mafia Wars game and from your bookmark toolbar, click on List FB friends.

3.  Your Mafia Wars screen will now look like this.  You can select which list you would like by clicking on "MW playing", "Not MW playing" or "All FB".  To get the list of MW playing into Brutus, copy it.  You can either left click with you mouse and scroll over the entire list to highlight or click inside the list and click CTL + A to highlight, CTL + C to copy.  Go to Brutus and select "Manual List".  Left click and select paste or click CTL + V to paste.
