I had a feeling when I was writing the article titled Account Restrictions? that the infamous message seen on some accounts was going to cause some panic and false rumors. If you are afraid to use The Chucker or other scripts because of this, you shouldn't be.
"Anything that is not YOU playing the Game, is against our Terms of Service. We do not allow bots or Scripts to be used."
This is nothing new and should not be a surprise. As far as scripts are concerned, there is nothing new that Zynga is doing to try to stop them. If you are using those that mimic normal game play and are not violating the integrity of the game, you have nothing to worry about. I asked Arch-Angel Nemesis to comment on this
"Zynga is cracking down on big trading accounts and people who sell a lot of loot. To stop the traders and sellers Zynga turned off gifting of the top Vegas loot items. Bangkok Unlock, all the sellers and traders, really made them upset. After they changed everything in the game, these accounts were suspended.
They also suspended the fighting on these accounts, so they wouldn't get the new fighting loot as well.
That's all this is about, stopping trading and selling, so going forward, nothing but consumables will be giftable. They are not going to suspend any more accounts, it was a one time roll out suspension. If Zynga really cared about people using third party scripts, they would figure out how to make the scripts not work or they would sue or BAN everyone who uses them. Today I received the following message that was sent out to a entire clan.
"Hi guys, as many of you may have seen in the last few hours, there is an email going around able accts having their gifting disabled. I have spoke with zynga customer support and they have decided not to allow chucker any longer. Please don't send any loot to the armory using chucker. We will find a way to make you all stronger. It will take more time on my part and more patience on yours. Please bear with us as we find a way to make this run smoothly. Thanks guys"/Anonymous Source
Dennis Dixon, Research Editor for The Daily Post provided me with this copy of a reply from Zynga when one of his friends asked about using The Chucker.

Alabama who is also known as The Zynganator, reports that he sent a copy of the above message to Zynga Customer Service and he is now even more confused.
"I got that same message, sent it to Zynga with a WTF? And was told that the person who told me that was going to be spoken to about it....that it is not allowed under any circumstances.....Who can get a straight answer out of the ba$t@r#s?/Alabama, AKA, The Zynganator
Karen Massey, Managing Editor of The Daily Post brought the following Zynga Forum Board post to my attention. This is most likely where the true problem lies. Many accounts exist that have acquired Reward and Skill Points by unauthorized means. There are also many loot providing services and Zynga doesn't like these. The banning of certain accounts along with the current game changes are signs that Zynga is doing something to stop third parties from profiting off of their game. There are reports from players on the Anti-Block Gift and Fight From Zynga Fan Page who did nothing wrong at all and were still banned. As with the game, there were probably many "glitches" in whatever screening process they used and some innocent victims were taken down. If you are one of them, I suggest you create a customer support ticket.

So it means that they are starting to ban ppl who r using chucker?
ReplyDeleteI don't see anything wrong with using Chucker--- all it does is makes gifting faster. In no way does it manipulate the game for any gain or advantage. All it does is gift.
