FrontierVille Cross Game Promotion

Zynga is offering another cross-game promotion.  This one is between Frontierville and Mafia Wars.  If you reach level 7 or gain 2 levels, you can get a Frontier Chainsaw (56/38) which is an attack weapon.  This is a pretty good equipment item to have so unfortunately, I will be wasting more time on the computer to get it.  When you log into your Mafia Wars account, you will get the following pop-up.

If you get the following message, it means that you have blocked the FrontierVille application in the past.  There are now instructions to unblock an application.  This is a great change made by Facebook.

In the past, you only got a message that said the page was not found.  Players who didn't realize they blocked an application and needed to unblock it were left thinking that they weren't able to play due to an unknown computer error.

Rather than having to go into and edit your privacy settings, you just click on "Unblock Frontierville" and allow the application access to your Facebook account.

I was then prompted to join the FrontierVille fan page and was now ready to play.

I first needed to choose the look of my character.  Unlike my frumpy Cafe World avatar, I'm happy with this look and think I came out pretty good.

Now it was time to start building "thriving frontier town".  I hate games when I have no clue what's going on and don't know what I'm doing.  I don't have the time or desire to read the game instructions which are located in the "Help" tab.  I'm going to wing it and just randomly click on stuff until I get to Level 7.  If I hear of a quick strategy, I will keep you updated.

This game is a lot like Cafe World and Treasure Isle in the fact that it causes my browser to crash and I had to refresh the page on may occasions.
