It seems every time I log into Mafia Wars there is something new. It's very irritating. They need to tone it down and do one thing at a time. Now we have to worry about getting early access to Las Vegas which is said to open in late July. Couldn't this have waited have until after The Las Vegas Mission was rolled out?
I immediately honed in on the "TRY FOR VIP ACCESS". I didn't like what I saw. I've been lazy and have only collected one Rack of Chips. Who knew this is what they were intended for? I thought there would be plenty of time and assumed they would be useless. Doh! I'm a gambler and couldn't resist trying anyways. I hoped to defy the odds and get lucky. It happens all the time in Las Vegas so why can't it happen in Mafia Wars? I had bad luck and was not given access. I was happy I can try again in 22 hours. The Mafia Wars Wiki Las Vegas Page has everything that is known about Las Vegas. I was impressed that someone took the time to calculate the statistical probabilities of getting access. This would be a fun over/under bet to do with one of your buddies. I only had a 1% chance and I lost.
One of my friends was lucky and was granted access but the angry man pop-up gets even worse. Now we get a 2X angry man pop=up. I learned that these are the powerful Hills Brothers and they run Las Vegas. HA! In the 7 years I've lived in Las Vegas, the only guys I've seen who look like these two jokers are are Lil' Wayne and P. Diddy. They may like to come here to party, but they don't run this town. I'm definitely not scared.
Received my access today and nothing to do as of yet. It would be nice to know when we can start playing. Thanks for all the great info!
