Zynga Developer (Fenris) Confirms Changes

Share:

Once again Fenris Developer for Zynga made another post about the recent changes.  I'm starting to like this guy.  He seems to be the only one at Zynga who keeps us informed about Mafia Wars.  I wanted to know more about him so I checked out his profile.  Thanks Fenris, we love the feedback you give us and hope you don't stop.

Here's a quick summary of the major changes we made with yesterday's release:
  • Double Fight Loot Event – fights that normally would drop one random loot item will instead drop two of that loot item for the duration of the event-Cool while it lasted.  Hope you all got lots of loot.
  • Attacks on hitlisted players now have a chance to drop loot items-Cool.  See Below.
  • Introduced 12 new high-end items exclusive to fighting-Cool for our overall stats, Not Cool because we can't gift them.  See THIS ARTICLE for a list of all these loot items and statistics.
  • Added additional Bangkok items to the fight loot list-Cool.  There are no new BK Loot Items but the ones that drop while doing jobs will also drop in fights.
  • Removed iced hitlisting (hitlisting targets when your health is below 20)-Cool See Below.
  • Properties reaching the collectable state are now safe from robbing for 2 hours, down from 12 hours-Cool if you are robbing but Not Cool if you are robbed.  Now we have to make sure to collect more often.
  • Properties can be robbed of up to 90% of their payout, up from 70%-Same statement as above.
  • Changed the shareable boost for icing a target from Hot Coffee (+5 Att) to Liquid Courage (+44 Att)--Cool.  The Hot Coffees suck.  See the article linked above.
  • Added 4 new achievements for icing opponents-Cool, only because we got 4 skill points.  See article linked above.
  • Fight list will now refresh 33% faster-Cool.  See Below.
  • Replaced the reward for completing 4 lottery tickets in a row from 1 skill point to 1 reward point--NOT Cool! Nice try.  Sneaking this bad and unnecessary change in with a bunch of good things doesn't hide it.  See below.
  • Removed the “fight bundle” pop-up-Cool, that pop-up was a pain in the #$$ and will not be missed.
  • Healing at the hospital will now automatically close the dialog box-Cool, this saves a lot of time while fighting. No more jumping through a bunch of windows to get back into fighting.
I like the new hitlist changes.  I do all of my fighting off of the hitlist.  I'm happy that I will now get loot for my efforts.  After about 15 clicks on random hitlist targets, I got a loot drop.  It wasn't very good but better than nothing.
Now you can't hide if you want to place somebody on the hitlist.  You have to have your health above 20. I tried this out.  I iced myself and attempted to add somebody to the hitlist.  I got the following message:
"You can't add XXXXX to the hitlist you are too weak to fight.  Heal at the Hospital and try again."

The fight list now shows you who is already iced.  The players who are below 20 in health appear on the fightlist as a shadow.  It's nice that this list refreshes more frequently now.

VCDBurn of TopMafia.Info coined this a "D-bag move by Zynga" and I agree with him.  What is going on with all the skill point to reward point conversions? First our daily checklist and now this. Is it possible that all the reward points generated from the Tagged glitch are taking up too much space?

  1. Zynga is after $$$, why give it away when you can push people into buying it? Of course, people, for the most part, will only be pushed so far, and then they either push back or go elsewhere.
