Rumor: Zynga Imposes Gifting Limitations

The following message was received by one of my mafia members on Skype.  Skype is a useful chat tool that many Mafia Wars players use to communicate because the Facebook Chat is not optimal.  If you're not using skype, click HERE and consider downloading it today.

Please pay attention here, based on information directly from Zynga there is a LIMIT on the amount of gifts you can send and receive in one day. This limit is in place now and will be lifted in 3 months.

By the time the limit is lifted you can bet your bottom dollar there will be NOTHING worth gifting! All the new loot is going be coming from loot drops from Fighting, Hit List attacking, and soon from Robbing.

These new great pieces of loot WILL NOT BE GIFTABLE!! They will take over the items that you purchase in the Faction Store, they will take over all the loot drops from jobs.

BOTTOM LINE:

Zynga wants to eliminate loot Sellers
Zynga wants to eliminate loot Traders
Zynga wants all accounts to be your honest efforts and no one elses

Don't put yourself in jeopardy by gifting too much
Don't jeopardize your account by doing too much in one day
Don't jeopardize your account by doing GLITCHES
Don't jeopardize your account by doing HACKS
Don't jeopardize your account by doing SCRIPTS

The only allowed items according to Zynga are the Gifter scripts and Switch Profile. EVERYTHING ELSE IS BAD NEWS if you are caught, you will receive a warning, second time ... warning in writing, third time = ACCOUNT BANNED FOR GOOD.

Here is an interesting post by a Zynga Moderator which may be related to this rumor.  NO third party scripts are allowed to be discussed on the Mafia Wars Forum Boards.  If you use any terminology referring to a thrid party script, you will get banned from the FORUM BOARDS.  This does not say your ACCOUNT will be banned.  The see the comments of this thread, click HERE.

After reviewing all the available information, I believe this imposed gifting is a Facebook issue.  We are already used to this.  The free gifts bore me anyways.  I'm glad to see that Zynga has acknowledged that the current gifting system needs to be improved and that this rumor is not 100% accurate and we can still send gifts in bulk to each other.
