Ethical or Unethical Practices you Decide?
What has changed.............

1) Changing attack and defend skill points after 14 months
Everyone knew it was this way and before there was an anchor point on the profile page a lot of ppl just added to attack and not defend. This affected ever single player in the game. It changed the whole dynamics and caused 10's of thousands of accounts to be rendered Attack dominate but they could be beat up by a level 24 because everyone just added to attack because it was a pain to scroll down to add to attack.

2) Changing top mafia drops after 16 months
People developed and spent money designing energy characters that could multiple level a day because that was their fun in the game. Now that pleasure for them is gone. With a 50% reduction in Top Mafia Drops
3) Changing robbing after a month
People spent money and developed their character to go with the new changes. Where robbing was paying out an average of 3.2 XP per stamina if you were winning 95% of your robs it is now 2.5 causing a reduction of 25% of total XP after it was changed 1 time and taken from production giving and redone only lasting 1 day. The second time is when it stayed out for a month. The final change resulted in a 25% reduction in XP

4) Changing bribes in Moscow after a month
Many people went ahead and spent cash to get Moscow money because of the bribe costs. Then after a month they took it away causing people to have spent money for no reason as bribe costs were determined by the number of items you had up to 80% of Moscow cash was taken away. No refund to the players happened

5) Changing the Hyro glove and not changing it to the Nah Kha shotgun
This gave players an unfair advantage where they got them for free and others have to spend RP to get a chance at winning them. May 2010

6) Using a cheating algorithm that punished people and made them lose RP
Zynga best come back after releasing several links that could be clicked for 3 hours. They rectified this situation by using a cheat finding algorithm that took RP from players who did nothing wrong. May 2010

7) Rolling back accounts with no justification
They never tell the player what they did wrong other than a simple TOS violation.

8) Faction ratings reset and not compensated
This one of the many problems during May 2010 where people were affected by another "Live" update.

9) Having to redo mastery because of game roll backs while the game is live
This one of the many problems during May 2010 where people were affected by another "Live" update

10) Not taking into account people who did surveys and accusing them of cheating and rolling their extra skill points back
Several people have told me that when people had reported them for cheating. When they checked their account, they lost all the survey skill points. The CS person told them that their account had been adjusted to the correct Skill Points for their level. They wrote CS back and they said it was final. They would not get back any inventory or stats.

11) Making people send in screen shots because they don’t have records
This is common practice for Zynga as they don’t have records of account.

12) Memorial Day Sale and for over 16 hours people were allowed to buy golden chest keys @ 4 RP and only needed 36 RP to get a Sherman tank at max. Most of the time in 9 chest + the 1 free key you got. You would win at least 20 RP so the cost per Sherman Tank was around 16 RP. When you look at what it cost after that it was almost 400 timer higher at 80 RP per Sherman tank. May 2010

13) Scammy offers that Zynga CEO knew he had and laughed about not being able to get the tool bar off his PC. That is being handled by a lawyer.

14) Having pop ups aligned so that if you were fast clicking you could accidently spend RP. May 2010

15) "Free Golden Chest Keys" from the mystery bag when you used them cost you 9 RP.

16) Golden Chests if they are on sale you and buy 3 or 4 of those keys while they are still on sale and you open up the chests while they are on sale. If you hit open another chest it charges you full price and not the sale price. I did that once this weekend. The game was lagging really badly. So I clicked on open another one. It cost me 9 RP instead of 4. I lost 5 RP in that trade off. It may not sound like a big deal, but if what if 5,000 people do it. That’s 25,000 RP gone down the drain that people worked hard to get or paid money to get. May 2010

17) London passports for people when they go to collect it resets their timers; May 2010. This will either force them to pay for Passports or not finish London.

18) Attack and Defend inventory used to be combined also. When they separated that it made it so instead of just 1 item per weapons, armor, and auto, you now need 1 Attack and 1 Defend item per weapons, armor, and auto increasing the amount of pixels they could sell by 100%.

19) Not fully established yet, but when animals come into play. That is just another way for them to sell more pretty pictures. They did say that the lion and the pit-bull would only be out a week. It has been over 30 days. So if nothing else they are guilty of False Advertising. They are also guilty of making people believe that animals would have been released into there own section no later than April 26th 2010. They made neither retraction nor any public apology. So those people who spent money playing extra long on energy refills and stamina refills to get animals. We were all lied to and given a false impression of what was to come. It still has not happened.

You can take away what ever you want from this, but they are facts. If you think Zynga is acting unethical then talk to Facebook. Write into legal@facebook.com and copy and paste this to your email. If Facebook deems they are not treating the consumers on their site correctly. They will be dealt with in a manner that is found to be just by both parties involved. Don’t think Facebook is the right avenue after they signed a 5 year deal with Zynga. You could alwayz write into Tech Crunch at tips@techcrunch.com. You don’t think Zynga following correct business rules. Then please fill out the information on this page "http://www.bbb.org/about/contactus.aspx ". I do believe the time is now. We are the consumers. We decide whether Zynga is doing things right or wrong. You have the facts and they way you look at them determines what you think about the company. We all have our own way to vote. This is yours. Pass it around and let others decide.
