  1. I feel bad for Zynga, even when they try to fix the loading issues by moving the game to new servers, a new issue appears... cut them some slack people

    1. I certainly don't feel bad for Zynga at all.

It was Zynga decision to stop running its own Infrastructure and move it back to AWS and since then in my opinion the game certainly hasn't got better at all.

    2. Must be an employee. No company can be this inept and hope to stay in business. It might take a while but even did hard addicted players, counting me will finally say enough is enough.

    4. Post creator, do you feel bad for the other companies whose services let you down? Cable? Movie theater? Brick and mortar store? Other online services? If not, then why should anyone feel bad for zynga? Game performance has been a 9 year problem for them and they have made no real efforts to fix it.

    5. Cut them some slack?? Are you for real? haha... you better be a Zynga employee or a troll in here trolling.

If they don't have the love and passion for the game and their loyal gamers, whom without they would be out of business, they should shut the game down and do something else. Right now, they are screwing everyone sideways. Everything from the VIP plan to the insane amount of BORING copy/paste events, tell us that they have given up and are only interested in squeezing as much money out of this game as they cam before its inevitable demise. It's clear to everyone but people stay for love of the game... and Zynga should be ASHAMED of taking advantage of that. But they are NOT ashamed... because feeling ashamed would indicate you would have some kind of emotion towards others, and Zynga doesn't. and everything we're seeing here, from copy/paste events to loading/performance issues to lousy VIP benefits show us that... and as mentioned earlier in the thread... would you feel bad for a company selling you a broken car? Or a restaurant serving you rotten food? Would you?? You would just go... "Oh, I feel sorry for this restaurant... serving people rotten food... they must be in need of more customers... I think I will go est there every day of the weak in support" HELL no... you would COMPLAIN and walk out and NEVER come back!

The problem here though, is,,, Zynga IS that restaurant serving rotten food... and they know people will keep eating it... so why star serving fresh and delicious food? And, my friend, is why people are complaining... and for you to come and say a thing kike this... tells me you're a nut case!

  5. I have been trying to load the game now for 30 minutes... all I am getting is white screens... grey screens... server error messages and black screens... game is dead on my account.

Zynga must be laughing their asses off of people subscribing to their VIP plan, haha... how they could ever get anyone to sign up is beyond my comprehension. But I guess, when you serve shit and charge the price of prime steak, and people STILL buy your dish... why start serving something else - can't blame Zynga... blame yourself for continuing the support - simple as that :/

    1. Yep, every word you say here is true. We do have only ourselves to blame. MW is an addiction to a lot of us, and that is why a lot of hard core players of the game continue to spend money, and give zynga the impression that they can do what they want, charge what the want, and people will continue to spend spend spend. The only thing that would benefit all of us is a complete shutdown of the game. Only when that happens will most of the people who still play realize how badly they have been done by, by zynga. The good news will be, in a lot of cases is, a good majority of us will never touch another zynga product for as long as they stay in business, so the company will eventually die due to having a poor player base. I will never touch another game or other product that has been created by zynga, and even if the company folds, I will never spend on anything that has any link with zynga's CEO. The company can also expect to never receive another good review from me for as long as it exists. I will not recommend their products in a survey, to my family or friends.

    2. I am 100% in agreement on that... I too will NEVER EVER touch a game created by, related to or in any way touched by Zynga... I too stay due a severe case of addiction - but not a day goes by when I don't find myself wishing for the game to be shut down - it's ridiculous at this point to keep on going. Zynga needs to either start caring again... or just kill the game altogether - out of respect of their loyal paying customers

  6. Did Zynga say how much extra space is in the "new" server? If not how do you know we were not down graded? They changed the fighting saying it would open up server space but did they actually say that the extra space would be used for mw? Everyone knows Zynga's main focus are their new mobile games I would not doubt for a minute that that is were the extra space is being used. Why the hell would they care about us? No matter how much the game breaks for some stupid reason we keep playing..... Not to mention people keep throwing money at them which is the only reason this game is still here.....

    1. They switched to carnage to reduce the number of server calls, and then last weekend they did some 'maintenance' and I suspect we have even less server space than we had before. Zynga used to discuss the details of their maintenance a few years ago, but since then every action they take is sly and underhanded, so of course they won't be willing to fully detail exactly what they did last weekend to make the game worse. I said in an earlier comment in another thread that I suspected they switched fighting to carnage (less server calls) to try and cover up the fact they were going to squeeze more mw server space so that their scam would be less noticeable. If that is what they have done, then it seems to have backfired on them.

  7. All throughout the game Zynga has stopped people from doing things and changed the game. This is to be expected. It's an online game anyone would be stupid to think it would stay the same forever.

But considering this is a text based game the amount of things that have been changed that Zynga has put down to "it causes server issues"

I'm sure many won't remember this far back but back in what 2009? 2010? Zynga closed something many players called the favor box. I don't think it ever had an official name but it's what lots of people used to call it on the official Zynga forums. Basically it was a little box on the home page where you could go through things like gift requests and job helps. One would come up at a time on job helps and then it would move on to something else.

Then another one also from many years ago Zynga removed the official in game leaderboards. They never worked properly for months anyway sometimes didn't even load. Zynga blamed this on the servers and took them down while they came up with a fix and 5 years later does the game have leaderboards? Nope.

The first destination to close what Cuba. It closed on the 3rd of March 2011. Yes that long ago. The reason Zynga gave for closing down destinations was load balance on the servers. Yet again.

Just like the hit list the robbing and general fight lists used to be based off the last 2 digits of your FB ID number. Now it's just the hit list. This changed because ... Yes you guessed it server issues.

Speaking of robbing. The original one this time. People didn't like when it went away. It went away for server lag issues also.

Still on the case of robbing. We used to have businesses and rackets. But they found it to complicated to make the servers work with multiple forms of properties so businesses and rackets got closed down just leaving the 3D properties that we know and most probably hate today.

Then we had gifting. Closed because of loot cloning. Cloning worked when people could travel really fast from one destination to another in one tab and send thing to an account really fast through another tab at the same time with a different script. Basically clicking 2 things at once caused server lag allowing people to send things to the second account without it leaving the first one essentially causing people to be able to clone the best items in the game as much as they wanted. Rather than upgrading the servers to fix this issue gifting died. This issues is also now why we need to wait a few seconds before traveling between different locations. Just to make sure cloning really did die and they wouldn't need to upgrade the server mouse they killed fast traveling.

Then again another one from a few years back when UMW was the script of choice. Batch clicking was set to 7 clicks. But because of servers issues this was reduced to 4.

More recently LA is now a % of your energy pool to stop people rapidly clicking the job button and the fight carnage. Server issues and all.

Basically we the users who spend money on MW are apparently not Zynga's first thought. Apparently being penny pinchers with there server money is the first thought. Even if it loses them more money in the end as people get pissed off close VIP memberships and leave. In fact they'd probably like that. That $25 someone used to spend a month saves them spending $5 of it on servers. In Zynga's weird alternate universe it's better to lose it all from a pissed off player leaving that losing a bit on a server upgrade.

Everything from energy and stamina usage to batch clicking how the fight lists are grouped the properties and associated robbing and more besides have all been changed basically because Zynga are tight bastards don't want to invest a single penny but still think for some odd reason that paying customers owe them an undying loyalty and will spend money on this shit forever and ever. And if not they can probably survive without paying customers anyway. After all what are paying customers?

    1. You could try and stop abusing scripts... maybe THAT would ease up on the servers?? And maybe, JUUUUUST maybe, then Zynga wouldn't have to shut down all these features and be having servers issues. If you are abusing scripts, in my book you're part of the problem - and having +20 accounts that all run 24-7 in Demon or whatever... is probably not helping matters much either. How about we start there? This game wasn't designed for the massive abuse of scripts to begin with - and they HAVE to be causing some kind of trouble for the game. so, if you're abusing, you're part of the problem... and doesn't really have a right to complain... just my 2 cents... now, let the abusers start their usual rants :P

    2. I read somewhere but I don't know how accurate it is, that they can write off a lot of server expenses, and if that is the case, then there is absolutely no excuse for their shitty treatment of customers.

  8. Zynga have only ever fixed stuff that cost them income ... anything else broken (and there has been plenty over the years) they have ignored or just removed from the game. The servers used to cope with 17 million daily players, now there are less than 2 million and they still have server issues? Tells you how many less servers they are using for MW now....

  9. omfg there are a lot of people that need to get over themselves!!!!!! if you all hate the damn game so much then QUIT!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. There are probably 80 thousand Daily Players now.
For a joke once we put MS Server on a 486. It can actually run. No doubt in my mind that the whole thing was pre planned. Carnage to cut server call, then the planned maintenance to migrate to a much much much smaller slower and further away server. Then two nights ago when the 404 error started? Not sure maybe they put Farmville on the same server or went from fiber optics to dial up. It's all crap and Zynga knows this is exactly what they expected. And they don't care.
We would quit if we didn't remember the fun we used to have and hope for change. All I can do is not spend a penny unless things improve.

    1. Their business practices really need to be investigated. People are paying money for their services, and some are paying big money, yet the service remains consistently crap. If this was a financial services business or any other type of business, they certainly would be investigated. I don't see why zynga should be any different. Money is money and people deserve good service in return for the money spent.

  11. In addition to the "Not Found" problem, are they also aware that clicking is really messed up? In a lot of ways. Not only on facebook, but also within Mafia Wars. So even if we get connected, the clicking of an item doesn't assure you that you collecteed the item.
Could this be a clue for Zynga? Does one possibly affect the other?

  12. error>>The server refused the connection.
