Classic Fight System Option in Los Angeles

Share:

Classic fighitng has returned to Los Angeles but it's an opt in feature. If you want to get rid of the new fight system (Fight Carnage), just move the green button to Classic Fights. You can only change systems once every 24 hours and can only do this in Los Angels. Once you change to Classic Fights everything goes back to the way it used to be. The heal timer goes back up to 30 seconds (assuming you have all the bonuses) and the cost to heal is also more. Stamina costs are 5 per fight and 75 per Power Attack. Fight and Crew boosts are also available when classic fighting is on. It may not be everything the fighters on strike demanded but it's better than nothing.

  1. i dont really know who would consider this better than nothing of those that fight in wars and drive bys. As if it would help me to switch my game to classic and the other family doesnt. Thats a joke. And honestly, in which location do we all fight in drive bys? In LA where the costs were high anyway? Most of the people I know fight in NY and as long as the carnage settings are not removed from NY completely, nothing really has improved. The option to switch it on and off means that there are two different healing times in the same location, two different xp ratios, two different damage amounts etc etc. It should not be my head doing this thinking but do you really think that this can work - both options at the same time? These changes are worth nothing at all in my eyes. might be different for other players though, i can only talk for myself.

    1. I for one, am sick of all of the complaining. It's a game, so either play it like it is or go away.

    2. I knew this would happen, mablue.

As for the commentor saying they're sick of all the complaining, will he/she be happy when the game shuts down because people won't pay for something they can't enjoy? This is why people are complaining. They want to see the game fixed, because they don't want to stop paying for it and risk having it shut down. What other service would people accept and pay for, if they didn't enjoy it? NONE, so why should this be any different?

    5. It sounds to me like someone is scared they will lose their game and all the money they put into it. Criticizing people who are complaining and striking to shame them into shutting up and going back to playing the game so you can continue to have a game to play is the wrong way to go about it.

  2. it would be better still if my link worked to activate the feature.

  3. Well it's a start, however adding one for every city would've been cool...

  4. I switched back on 3 accounts only to find out if the Victory Coin drop rate improves. I can live with the fighting either way but I do miss the Victory Coins for purchasing Fighter's Energy Refills. My supply is gone on one account and dwindling on others.

It's just a game; a leisure passtime. Changes are inevitable; some we like, some don't. Play or don't play. It's not worth getting your panties in bunch over.

    1. Victory Coins don't drop in all destinations except Mexico and Los Angeles. They also drop from robbing in all destinations.

  5. So if you can only switch every 24 hours how does that help if you have used that option already, and then suddenly find you have a drive by, or a war is declared on your family. I don't want to accept what we're being given , or go away, I love playing Mafia Wars, but it needs to be workable, and this isn't. They are trying, but they're not listening to the players, and because of that they're falling short of getting it right.

    1. Once you switch you can keep it switched. You just can change back for 24 hours. The ones who don't like the new fight system will probably just stay with the old and won't need to worry about switching back.

  7. if the majority of fighters like using less stamina per hit , then most will be in classic fight and playing field will be pretty much even ... and the ones using carnage will use their stamina faster , sure they have an advantage in that they will ice you faster although that is a perk then i guess of having more stamina and auto level account , something for people to work towards if they choose. i think they can still tweak it and lower the cost in la to how it was in new york cost 1 and power cost 15 , that buys everyone time to adjust and build more stamina and lower ratio to eventually join in the carnage fight system . i been telling people in my family that z needs to change the stamina cost for over a year as its no fun when it takes 6 people to ice 1 person , so glad they went to carnage mode as an option

  8. The feature is useless for people attacking from and using buckets, favourites etc. such as Drive bys and wars. If the person is not in LA on the classic system they can heal in 20 seconds while you flail away at them with 75 Stam attacks. and if you're in LA you are being attacked with Carnage amounts of damage and can't heal for 40 seconds or so. Did someone in Zynga actually think this was a good compromise or solution? what a mess!

    1. seems to me that we now have 2 classes of fighters - those using FL to get ices, whether for daily progression or just to increase their counts; and those who prefer mocks/DBs/wars. Many of the stronger, high stam fighters I know prefer carnage because they can ice weaker people in 2 or 3 clicks. The mid-range fighters with far less stamina are struggling with the slow attack rate. The game is polarising more & more into a super-league of strong fighting accounts, and the rest of us who are still trying to play for fun.

I am so glad I'm not a newish player trying to get ices for missions. Zynga seems to have completely overlooked them. I can't see many of them staying around long enough to want to spend money on a game that is dying.

  9. They are having a laugh...lol...so what's changed? Nothing...if I switch to classic mode I'm hitting someone that can heal in 20 seconds and also ice me faster...so what's the benefit here? They could easy increase the damage per hit and still people could enjoy the game and also have the NORMAL XP they stole from our games. But to have hits that deal 20K+ damage on your health is just no fun. They know it and they did it on purpose to make people leave the game...in these days I don't even play anymore or care about the game. The interest on MW is zero and i'm ready to shutdown the game for good. Why bother? And people that keep spending are just nuts because they can't even see that soon most people are not even playing and zynga will shutdown the game...

  10. I fear that the 'super stamina' players that say Carnage is great will find themselves playing among themselves because all the other players have left. Once that happens , well we can all guess what Zynga will do then...

  11. Blocked all Zynga games. Was a good time near 7 years.
Was spending a good house in my account, now i see it was wasted money.
Nevermore will trust ZYNGA with the ´´Limited Time Event´´ Fuck Carnage.
Zynga doing suicide with they´r stupid heads.
Will post my experiences at all Stock market puplications ;)

  12. I don't get why they simply just don't increase the XP ratio from 2.25 (New) to 2.3 (Old). I averaged a ratio of 2.3 yesterday in the old fight system when I switched.
I couldn't care less about how much stamina I use per hit, what I care about is how much XP I can gain per hit since that is what I need to self level. If they made the XP ratio the same there wouldn't be a problem. People could burn through their stamina faster and therefore level quicker. You wouldn't hear complaining than. Except for the server lag and the need to reload they stay this was meant to solve.

    1. Not really the big issue, most of the fighters hate this because of the stamina costs (drains stamina too fast) and the health cool down timer which is too short which means when fighters are at war, their opponents can heal faster than they can be iced and without ices, fighting for them is pointless

  13. I don't care that much about the ratio, Id just like to be able to ice someone in our wars.
Funny both serial levelers and fighters were happy before Carnage and now Zynga has managed to piss us all off :)
I'd have to say it's not easy to piss everyone off at once, kudos Z!

  14. Is the strike still on? How much of an impact did it have? Wondering how many long time players have left for good. I'd come back if they restored classic fighting to every city. Sure feels nice not wasting my money any longer.

    1. Tried to load metricsmonk.com to check but it keeps bugging out. Not sure if anyone else would have luck in loading the stats for MW. All I get are blank graphs.

The other day when metricsmonk was working, some were able to see that there was a decrease of about 2400 players for the period during the strike. The number corresponded with all those who confirmed they would be striking. What I would like to know is how much money zynga has lost from people quitting VIP and stopping RP purchases. So many of my mafia, most of them spenders, have quit the game because of this, or they are now playing for free with no intention of signing up to VIP again. This definitely is the worst mistake zynga has made. There is no way to ever be able to trust them again, after the huge lies they told about carnage.
