Zynga has finally gotten around to doing something about the News Feed issues we have been experiencing for months. I don’t know if it’s going to help but the fact that they are trying is good. The Mafia Feed appears in the Player Updates section and at this time only works for the Extortion Run feature. You can only add up to 10 friends so choose wisely. Zynga really needs to add a search feature because finding the 10 friends you want to add is a pain in the ass. You can let Zynga choose randomly (check the 'Select 10' box) but adding 10 people that don't play anymore isn't going to help anybody. If a feed is maxed on Facebook, it won’t help you in the Mafia Feed section. This is great for players with a lot of minis but it won’t do much for those running 1 or 2 accounts. Hopefully Zynga (and the script writers) can improve on the feature and all the news feed issues will be a thing of the past.

ReplyDeleteAs to be expected it is not working properly, I added my 2 minis to friends yet when I ask for parts they do not show up,only on timeline. same applies to the others of my family I added,worked first time .that is all.
ReplyDeleteThe same posts keep coming back! I click on them the first time, and either I get the Roughup credit, or I get the message that either the maximum amount of players accepted the feed, or I already collected from that feed. When i come back later, the same exact friends posts are there again, and of course I can't collect because I've clicked them all before! There seems to be no way to clear the list.

DeleteThey tried this very same setup back in 2010 or 2011 and removed it within a week or so. If I recall, people at that time were complaining about the same things. Buggy, not updating properly, all old information there and you can't clear it once you've viewed it.
ReplyDeleteLikewise I added minis that I had and asked for help on those accounts. They are still selected and nothing has shown up all day that way and they posted to the feed. How LAME!

ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time, there was a internet game that was fun, it took a bit 'a time to figure out, but not hours. It was a lot of fun to try an anticipate what the other players would come up with....remember having to buy insurance for your NY properties????then waking up to find you had spent NY dollars to protect the wrong property? I DO............THEN...about the time that the super casino's showed up....the script,ters ruined the game forever for the dumb ones like me..........BUT....like a fooool many like me kept on hoping that the game would be fun again. And I am a fool to have stayed with a rigged against me game. I wouldn't know a script from a snake if it bit me in the ass...........SO?????????? There is no happy ending for the dumb ones in this game.......so have fun genious's. And of all of the nicest bloggers still playing the game of Mafia Wars.......Jennifer, YOU, are the nicest and I'll not be needing your kindly given help anymore, and Well, I'll just miss you.
ReplyDeleteAww, that was very sad but sweet. I will miss you and everyone else who leaves the game as well. I often think about quitting and it's the comments like this that make me want to keep going.
