The Big Energy Lie

Share:

Los Angeles offers an entire destination in which jobs are based on a percentage of your energy pool [1]. Increasing your energy no longer helps you do more jobs. The more energy you have, the more the jobs cost. In the end a player with a high energy pool can do the same number of jobs as his much stronger opponent who has a much lower energy pool. I think the fighters would be upset if strength was all of a sudden based on a percentage of attack and defense skills and we all were equally strong despite how many attack or defense points we had. If this is how Zynga wants it to be than they should redefine the profile page as the description of energy is a big lie (at least when in Los Angeles). Regardless of how much energy you have, who’s idea was it that doing one job per level was fun? If navigating the game wasn’t so full of loading delays, it may be ok but it’s just ridiculous. The structure of Los Angeles will cause many more players to seek out the use of automation. A good friend said it best when she said using a bot is best because you don’t have to watch the misery!

  1. It also means if they plan on doing a job with a serial leveling sort of XP ratio on it the level cap would need to be removed. Levels in the thousands would take the same amount of time as ones in the millions, billions, trillions or quadrillions. The energy would just keep rising so each level would take the exact same amount of clicks AKA time to get through. Allowing people to serial level in L.A would be very bad for the games future an RP point would never be more than half a second away.

  3. Oh, and one more thing. We were all able to collect an extra 10 baskets from gifts yesterday (a total of 20) as the ZMC resets 8 hours (04:00:00 PDT) before the game rests at 00:00:00 PDT. So the 10 we lost from begging, we gained from gifts - giving us 175 even though the event was released late - that could have been incorporated into this post - as it could have calmed MANY people down too, lol

  5. Wow... I get 2 whole clicks 3 times a day, as long as I don't go to work at some point...otherwise it is 2 times a day. How much more fun can this game get!!!!! Whooopeeee :) I could do more by spending money, but I let others do that! Thank You for spending money and keeping the game alive, cause without you spending money this game would be dead.

    1. The game is and has been so corrupted that I'm guessing that the end is near.

  6. It is disgusting what they have done, as there is no longer any incentive to add to energy, if things stay the way they are now. They've also been doing this sh*t with the Mexico secret districts, so it does seem this new energy 'formula' is here to stay. I'm not a serial leveler but I do have a good supply of energy (and stamina) for my level. I guess it is good to know for the future that I won't have to waste any more skill points to energy, and can focus on building stamina with the skill points I would ordinarily use for energy.

  7. "In the end a player with a high energy pool can do the same number of jobs" It's worse than that. I have two accounts. One has 40127 and can do the bronze manhunt job in district 2 a total of nine times. My other account has 34533 energy energy and can do the same job a grand total of 13 times!!! The first account seems to be getting penalised for having more energy!

    1. Yes, I noticed that too. The lower the amount of energy you have, the more clicks you get. It is fcking ridiculous and part of the reason I stopped spending on this game.

  10. i dont think that the playing field is level. let me explain ... my Energy acc has 9k energy and can do 2-3 jobs in LA per energy refill. my main has only 2k energy, but can manage 5-6 jobs per energy refill.

Therefore its not a true ratio as my main has 1/4 the energy of my mule, but can do double the number of jobs.

However ... i have found that purchasing items to do jobs is more expensive in the lower energy account, than the higher energy account. Surely they should cost the same regardless???

    1. There are brackets so it's hard to compare one account to the other. If your 9K account is at the lower end of a bracket than your 2K account than it's hard to tell. Without knowing the data and formula that they use all we can say is it's based on a percentage of your energy. The difference in City Store costs is most likely special abilities that grant discounts I would guess. One of the districts in Brazil has a mastery item that gives a discount in all destinations.
