Mission Shootout Arena Task Update

The Los Angeles Urban Assault Missions came with a bug when 2 Shootout Arena tasks interfered with each other [1].  At the time I posted about it, it wasn’t clear if this was intended or a bug. Since these Missions aren’t timed it was more of an annoyance than an issue. When the Family Business Mission was released, the bug became a bigger problem [1]. It was reported by a few players that they were credited with required loot drops so we assumed it was a bug and it was fixed [1]. Today we learn that the bug wasn’t really fixed but all players will receive credit for the 2 Arena Shootout tasks in the Urban Assault Missions as soon as they get 1 item [1]. The timer for the Family Business has NOT been extended but it probably should be as it took a few days for Zynga to take action. Stuff like this is why I still play the game as it would be much easier for me to only write about the game. Copying and pasting server and game images are the easy parts of blogging about Mafia Wars. Without playing the game and testing out what our fans post, bugs could go unnoticed and take much longer to fix.

Many of our players reported that some tasks in Los Angeles Urban Assault event were impeding their progress in Family Business event. These tasks are listed below : 

1. DEAL DAMAGE IN SHOOTOUT ARENA TO LOOT WAKE WALKERS
2. DEAL DAMAGE IN SHOOTOUT ARENA TO LOOT WICKED WAYS
Therefore, we will be auto-completing two tasks for you in the current Los Angeles Urban Assault event. This will be effective as soon as these tasks are available to the player. 

You might need to refresh the game, in case you are not able to view the auto-complete changes. Please note, in the case of first task (DEAL DAMAGE IN SHOOTOUT ARENA TO LOOT WAKE WALKERS) , players will need to loot one of the required items to trigger auto-complete.
