Zynga didn’t waste any time, moments after the loot for the Book Store, the 54th Global Property and the 49th Limited Time Property, was added to the inventory they released it! You can’t be a bad ass mafiosa if you aren’t well read so now is your chance! Don’t these guys at Zynga know that e-readers are in and nobody goes to book stores anymore? Although the manner in which we read books has technologically advanced, the manner in which we build these ridiculous properties remains the same. You need 471 parts to fully upgrade the Book Store to Level 15 but the extra parts received as upgrade rewards will reduce the number you need to beg for by 48. There are 16 days to get this done and Gold+ VIP subscribers get 5 extra days. The ‘Ask’ timers are 8 hours and it doesn’t look like we will ever see the 2 hour ones again. The details of this property and an updated property chart are shown below.
Although it’s called the Book Store, the sign on the property image says Books Store. I’m not sure what that’s all about but normally they are called Book Stores and not Books Stores.
The individual parts needed to upgrade the Book Store are Vintage Panes, Treated Lumber and Reciprocating Saws. Each “Any Part” request will yield 6 parts in the order shown below. You can also make 1 “Individual Part” request and get 6 specific parts. Each type of request can be made once every 2 hours. You can get 4 bonus parts by scanning the news feed and clicking on build and upgrade brag posts. It’s possible to get a total of 48 parts per day.
The following chart outlines the number of parts needed to upgrade to the next level.

To beg for parts try the Link-a-Nator 2. It auto-updates and is ready to go. As long as your ask buttons are active it will work.
To track or brag about your progress, use the Beg-o-Meter by Team Spockholm.
When you are all filled up on each part, you can build to Level 1 or upgrade to the next levels. The popup displays the rewards you get for upgrading to each new level.
The final reward is a 50% energy refill and a Hooked and Booked.
For each upgrade you get rewarded with partial energy/stamina refills and extra parts. The energy and stamina refills are a percentage of your total energy pool and will go over your max energy if your pool is at 100%. These refills can also be stacked on top of each other but once you level you lose what you don’t use. For this reason you should upgrade when you aren't close to leveling or when you need it to level.

Always share your build and upgrade requests with your mafia so they can collect additional parts. The game will tell you the limit is 3 but it’s really 4 additional parts you can collect every 8 hours. The timer on these extra parts is a little tricky. They are timed from the last one you collect so if you don’t collect all 4 at the same time they will be spread out over the 8 hour period.
The loot items available for crafting from the Power Plant and the skill points that come with them are listed below.
Levels 1-3: No Skill Points
Levels 4-6: +3 Energy
Levels 7-10 +4 Defense
Levels 11-15:+5/+6 Stamina
Here is an updated chart with all the items with skill points available for crafting from all 49 Limited Time Properties. If you like this chart but would like to sort it based on loot or skills, use the Property Manager 3 by Team Spockholm.

When Zynga asked people to complete a survey about a month and a half ago, 100% of the people I know who completed it said they were feeling overwhelmed with the game events. What part of 'feeling overwhelmed' did Zynga not understand? It very simply proves they don't listen to their players, and in fact, it seems as though they are going completely against feedback so they can drive more and more players away.
ReplyDeletewhats a BOOKS store bunch dumb ass zynga people
ReplyDeleteAlmost my 5 year anniversary here and I'm shocked I made it this far with the Z-holes running this game. Sure, the 2-hour timer was way too popular that most everyone was able to complete the property, so we'll NEVER see that again!
ReplyDeleteBut how about a compromise, Z-holes? 8-hours is for diehards who can be on here exactly every 8 hours (with their scripts, of course -- you love people and their scripts, but hate us REAL manual players, and even punish us!!). But I digress....
How about trying a SIX (6) hour timer at least, going forward? Still a challenge, yet, gives the serious/manual player some hope without having to set alarm clocks like idiots just for a worthless piece of loot.
Please at least "think" about it. (Yes, I use that word very loosely with you Z-tards. And maybe the name-calling might stop if you actually LISTEN TO YOUR *CUSTOMERS* for once!!) ~JG
