UPDATE: After a 2 day vacation the notification rewards have returned. It must have been an oversight.
Mafia Wars gifts started showing up in the notifications about 6 months ago. We didn’t know why or what they were for until Quick Trigger was released about 4 months later [1]. As reported by many on our fan page, these gifts have been missing in action for 2 days now. The answer lies within Quick Trigger and it’s somehow tied to the Quick Trigger Event [1]. The link on Quick Trigger used to say ‘Click here to claim your Daily Reward’ and once the Quick Trigger Event was released it changed to ‘Click here to claim Skill Points during the event.’. Daily gifts were still appearing in the notifications until 2 days ago. At this time we don’t know if these notification gifts are over for good, if they will return once the Quick Trigger Event has expired for all players or if Zynga just forgot to send them. Either way the rewards shown here, with few exceptions, were never very useful.
