Urban Assault: How To Get the 2nd Target Reward

Share:

There is some confusion over eligibility for the 2nd Target Reward in the Urban Assault Mission. This isn’t a surprise because the in-game instructions and the FAQ are wrong. I believe this is because Zynga used the word ‘Task’ instead of ‘Mission’. The word task implies action so when reading the instructions the take home message for most players will be that one task of each Mission needs to be completed. As you can see from my grid below, I’ve done one task in all of the Missions yet I’m not eligible to get the Street-Wise Target Reward. The reason is because I need to complete ALL tasks in each Mission Station and have at least 1 bullet in all of the Reward Stations. Once that happens, you will get the reward. Zynga should update the instructions to reflect this or players are going to keep asking about it. If you aren't eligible for the reward when you click on it the Missions you need to complete will blink. There is also a hover feature to show progress. Hover your mouse over a Mission and it will let you know the status. This is cool but as previously stated not very user friendly. The Quest-o-Meter outlined here is a nice alternative to assessing progress.

Unlock and complete at least one task at all Mission Stations in the city.

As soon as I completed ALL the tasks in my 1 unfinished Mission from above I got the 2nd Target Reward.

  1. Well, I have everything done except crafting 5 animals. I have 2 so far. So this system means I need to wait for the ZOO timer and collect 2nd and 3rd Target Rewards at the same time.

    1. Yes, as soon as you collect your last one then you will get both rewards. The 3rd one will popup after the 2nd one.

    2. Thank you for the explanation, Loot Lady :) It's so illogical to me I was confused untill I read your post.
Please, don't pay any attention to grumbling about "twisting words" and the like. English isn't a first labguage for many players and understanding what Zynga means is often hard. Your descriptions are better :)

  2. I inerpret "One task" as filling the blue meter below the station once... for it to be interpreted the way you suggest... to me it should have read "One job" A task can easily be a string of jobs... like... "You need to do 10 jobs to complete the task" So, I wasn't confused about this statement... but I guess if you want---you can twist the words... and if it were to say 2compale ALL tasks" I would think that meant to complete all 3 tasks in the Reward stations... there are 3 tasks in those... and you need to complete at least one of them (one task) to be eligible for the mastery reward... 1 task = xx number of jobs... pretty straight forward

    1. If most interpreted the way you do then I wouldn't be fielding so many questions about it. Look at any group page and you will see this question. When working on the walkthrough me and those helping me even had issues with it. Not everyone is going to interpret it the way Zynga wants them to. Because you did it was straight forward. If the stand alone Mission Stations weren't composed of just one objective then there wouldn't be confusion. Because they are many are reading it to mean they need to do one of how many are required. Obviously this post doesn't help you because you interpreted the right way but for those who didn't it does and was the reason it was made. I wasn't twisting anything, I was stating how many players who contacted me read it. When one creates instructions they need to use words or explain something in a manner where there will be no questions for the readers.

    2. I guess we're not as lucky as anonymous to "inerpret" everything the way it is intended.

I understood it correctly also but it isn't helping anyone to come on here and boast that.

I've seen many players get confused so it's nice that you help clarify it instead of anonymous who would criticize rather than assist.

  3. I meant no disrespect to you... I sense a little aggression from you... I know a lot are "against" you in here... but I am not... and I don't know how many contacted you about this out of all MW players... but apparently a huge percentage did... and no, I didn't look in every group like you did... so I take your word for it... I was merely pointing out how I think Zynga meant for it to sound... and when you think of 1 task as being a series of jobs... it should be pretty straight forward :)

    1. You know a lot are 'against' MWLL? - how many are a lot? do you have messages from them? I could say I know a lot are "for" MWLL because I see oodles of comments and questions both here and on FB.

You were merely pointing out how you thought Zynga meant for it to sound?

Hmmmm. Seems to me that the point of the blog post is to clarify just that.

So, I see you coming here and putting down anyone who misinterpreted the objective. And giving off a holier-than-thou attitude. Judging the supporting evidence that requires an informative blog post?? MWLL can write about shoe shopping and it wouldn't matter if even one person asked why because it's her blog.

She's helping. One person or three thousand people. Who cares. Congratulations on your omniscient Zynga point-of-view.

    2. I didn't think I was aggressive. The only thing I personally didn't like was you accused me of twisting the words around which wasn't the case. This post wasn't even fun to make and took me a few days to get motivated enough to write it. I only made it because of the questions. I wish it was more straight forward but it's really not. Part of it could be my own fault for referring to tasks in the Limited Time Missions as the number of requirements for each objective. Not sure what Zynga calls them but we have a lot of words being used to describe the same thing when in actuality they aren't.

    3. Why all this hate?? OMG!!!! I guess this comes from playing this game too long... so sad... it really is... keep judging others based on your own negativity... I was just making a counter-point to THIS post... but clearly that is forbidden... I will take the walk of shame and go do something mean to myself... how dare I psit that something LL says may not be intepreted that way by equally as many... hey, here's an idea... take a vote and see how many in the community understood it correctly and how many didn't :D That should be fun :P

You were aggresive towards me because you ASSUMED I was being critical towards you... but rather than ASSUMINg you should have gotten clarification fram me... I was NOT being critical... I was just saying that the phrasing was okay...and that people will interpret things the way the wanna interpret... but in this case... what does it matter??

I just think peopæe should be careful judging others so quickly... not everyone is in here to kill... but the fact that sommany thinks that, make me more certain that a lot are on the defense because they feel a lot actually DO come here to kill... which kinda proves my point about "haters" But don't assume... we all know what assumption leads to... :)

    4. LOL, I wasn't aggressive at all, you are the one who assumed that I was. I merely explained why I wrote the post and stated that you interpreted it correctly but not everyone else did. I don't know how to contact you as you have remained anonymous so all I could do was reply here. I don't think I said anything bad for you to get this upset. Your original post did sound a little critical but I never responded to that, I merely told you why the post was made as you assumed I twisted the words around.

    5. Well, I wasn't trying to be critical... why would I? It's not your fault that some people misread the way Zynga worded it...i was just trying to let people know... the ones who misread this... that the word "task" can mean a series of jobs... which in this case it did... not being critical... not being rude... not being a zynga-lover... just making a point regarding the word TASK....and then people comments that you're a hater and a critical person, lol... THAT is funny... and like I said... people need to lighten up... you said a lot were misreading it due to the word task... then I wrote that task means a series ofjobs... to explain the confussion so that there would be no confusion... not boasting either, LOL...and if you knew meyou would know that... just trying to help... but I guess helpisn't appreciated much anywhere in this day and age ;)

    7. Here's this guy saying "keep judging others based on your own negativity" while he is judging based on his negativity toward the post.
Dude, this is how readers see it.
You criticized the post. You didn't post anything helpful. You did insult by using the snippy language "but I guess if you want---you can twist the words".

I'll tell you, sometimes I got angry reading some posts in the past. I wanted to 'correct' them. I wanted to say that wasn't MY point of view. But, guess what? This is a blog! It is one person's point of view based on the information that they have. They do not need to justify it - except to their paying customers. Oh wait, there are no paying customers.
You would probably argue with someone who says "it's hot as hell" that they haven't been there to know.
Step back and read your own comments, anonymous, or have someone read them for you without telling them what you 'meant'. You sound like a condescending hypocrite.

You go on that it's not MWLL fault that it was misread - so what. Not the point. She made a post to help others.
You were just trying to let people know. Start your own blog. "People" wrote to MWLL to find out, not you. You only let people know that you're a critic.
You are the one who needs to lighten up. And understand the meaning of the word 'help'.

    8. I see your points... I do. and it CAN be taken as me being critcal... and that's why I tried explaining it wasn't intentional.

This line: "but I guess if you want---you can twist the words"

was NOT intended towards LootLady... the word "you" was meant as a general thing... but I see how it could have been read as me referring to LootLady...and I apologized for that and told I didn't mean it that way and no disrespect.

But the written word is easily misinterpreted... I'm sure you have tried reading a text message from someone and read it wrong... because there's no "life" in a text message other than what we put into it... I am aware that this blog is LootLadys and not mine... and I never tried to take it over... I just commented on a blog post... MY point of view... which I hope is okay... we all come here to learn and to share points of views...

You go on that it's not MWLL fault that it was misread - Not sure what you mean about this... I never placed fault anywhere... I just interpreted the wording Zynga made differently...and that's all I tried to put across... sharing my input... which I hope is allowed on here? But I agree... I can see how my original post could have been misintrepreted as being aggressive and critical... but it wasn't meant that way... which i have stated a few times and apologized for...
