The first thing most players do when new districts unlock is work on farming consumables. It’s always better to farm them on the bronze level because the drop rates are about the same and the energy requirements are much lower. When South Africa was introduced the drop rates for consumables were around 30% and Zynga quickly changed that to 50% [1]. They even announced this improvement via an in game notification [1]. It looks like the drop rates for the second consumable in both Districts 7 and 8 have reverted back and are not good. The only saving grace for these is that 3 of the 4 jobs that make them don’t require currency. If you need to farm consumables on the higher levels the ratios of the jobs are pretty good. If you use a 2x loot boost and all the 2x boosts (mafia, 2x boost, boss boost) on each loot required job it only requires 48 total. You probably are a bit more impatient than that though, so get a few extra.
