The Artillery Station was the first of 3 Family Properties introduced in December of 2011 [1]. Two months later came The Bunker [1]. For about 2 and a half years we have been waiting for the 3rd one and it’s finally here! The Mansion. The Mansion serves two purposes in the game. The first is it finally replaces the what many have called the ‘Coming Soon’ Property and second it will provide the much needed Family Experience. Zynga killed two birds with one stone with this update and it’s pretty awesome! A limited walkthrough is shown below. For more details on how to build and upgrade a Family Property, go here. Except for a few updates outlined in linked posts and the fact the Mansion only goes to Level 5, nothing but the parts and images are different.
The in game instructions on this property are the same as the Artillery Station and the Bunker. The differences between the properties are noted. Below is a comparison of the new to the old instructions.

The building item is Sicilian Marble. Get 20 per day from Free Gifts.
Get 20 per day by asking for OR clicking on requests in the news feeds. If you got all your parts from asking then when you click on others you won't get anymore. If you scanned the news feeds and got 20 parts from clicking then when you ask you won't get any when others click on yours. You can do a combination of the 2 but once you get 20 parts for the day you won't be able to get more no matter how many times you ask or how many post you click on.
You can ask once every 6 hours but if you have an active mafia you can get all 20 parts from 1 request. This is the easier way to go and you won't need to mess with scanning the news feeds or asking a bunch of times.
If you need to scan then use the Stream Scanner. The search feature can filter the Mansion parts. These requests appear under the 'ClanProperty' tab along with the Artillery Station and Bunker requests.
We don't recommend it but you can also purchase Sicilian Marble parts from the upgrade page. This would be a very costly way to upgrade your property because parts cost 10 for 30 reward points. As you can see from below, 10 won't get you very far! Even 100 for 250 reward points is a drop in the bucket!
Once you get the parts you need to add them. You can’t upgrade until the health is at 100%. Property health does regenerate so time will help and it may be best to wait and have all members dump parts at the same time.
Adding strong items to your property is a double edge sword. You will be more protected against attacks but it will also increase the number of parts you need to heal. The below images compare 2 Family Properties on the same level but the difference is one of them is much larger and players have added items to their properties.
The Family Experience comes in the form of what is collected daily by the members of the family. It will be listed on the Mission Page next to the regular Family Experience. It's not going to turn us into Level 15 Families over night but every little bit helps. With a fully healed Level 1 Mansion, each member of the family can collect 2,530 Family Experience instead of the normal 2,400 (600 per category). Until we know the maximum bonus percentages we can't really guess at how much this extra Family Experience will help.
The chart below shows the parts needed to upgrade to the next level and the health repair costs. Since the Mansion only goes to Level 5 we won't know how many parts are needed until someone gets there and will update this post as we go. The same applies to the Family Experience bonuses. The maximum Family Experience per level will not appear on your property unless the health is at 100%.
| Level |
Repair Cost
|
Upgrade Cost

Max Bonus

| 1 | 500 | 2,000 | 5% |
| 2 | 1,000 | 4,000 | 10% |

| 4 | 3,000 | 10,000 | 20% |

The Spock Family has gotten to Level 4 so we were able to update the majority of the chart above. Here are the images for Levels 1-4.

Only up to level 5 upgrade on The Mansion. If you read the text .
ReplyDeleteYou can only upgrade the mansion to level 5 not 10
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I only looked at the first few lines of that and thought it was the same. I have updated this post :)
ReplyDeleteLets be honest by the look of the % we get, not really going to help much, It is still going to take small families years to level up..
ReplyDeleteI don't think as many families think this is awesome as you do. For small families getting that many parts is an exercise in frustration and my family won't be able to even upgrade until people stop robbing since the property got hit as soon as it came out and the health has pretty much never gone above 300. How is that in any way fun? It isn't like we are going to waste 500 parts healing.
ReplyDeleteI take it there is NOT an easy tool to use the 5 best items that you don't use anymore ( before your worst item )????
ReplyDeletespockholm defendor!
DeleteLeonard - use the Defendor! Spocklet.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, it's not going to be much for small families. Zynga's all over adjusting stuff to make it harder for players with higher stats in the interest of their fabled "level playing field" but the whole idea of doing the same for families seems to be completely foreign to them.
Does anybody have the same problem: Though I can request help every six hours, everybody seems to be restricted to help so that after the first request in the morning further requests don't get any help very much in opposite to the other family properties. Via Feed I can get only 20 parts and even my help on other accounts doesn't count. If I want to help even after six hours it says that I already collected the maximum.
ReplyDelete20 is the max. You can get them in a combination of clicking on feeds or asking on feeds. Since you got 20 by clicking you won't get more by asking :)
Deletethis is what we did for the first 2 properties. 3 families built one family at a time as all members of the families gathered their parts. Fairly easy, and fast builds. Even though they were small tags they fully built their properties. All it takes is cooperation its only 5 levels.
