Final Day Notice: Family Business

Share:

Today is the last day to complete the Family Business Mission. There are many families who won’t be able to complete it in time and an extension would be appreciated. I don’t see why these things need to be on a timer anyway. It would be better, more fun and more relaxing if they could stick around until the next one is released. Last time an extension was granted and the extra time was added once the initial timer expired. Hopefully for those families still trying this will happen again.

  1. I seriously don't get why this is an issue... not everything is is for everyone... a lot of families do what tehy can to finish these in time... and an extension is a mockery to those families... and to suggest a no timer would be the same as suggesting a no timer on ice seasons... just keep the ice season running till the next one pops up... then what would be the challenge? The challange is time and commitment and dedication... not everyone completes everything... why have timers at all then? No timers on ice seasons... no timers on property builds... no timers on VIP Boubties... just cancel all timers... and let events run till they get renewed... where would the fun be in that?? I know a lot who can't complete a simple ice season... an ice season which 99% finds ridiculously easy... but there is still 1% who never finishes them... why not remove timers so that the last 1% can finish too?? Thi event is based on strategy... to fill your family with versatile players... and not just stamina monsters... the stamona monster families always win the stamina events... check out the last 10 family ice boards... and if these families struggle with Family Business events due to having low amounts of energy... well... I say that's just how it is... you can't have your cake and eat it too.. just my 2 cents.. but because of this post... I'm sure Zynga will grant you your extension once again... and I will bet you that we will see another post like this in 12 hrs or so... to remind Zynga to extend timers... I just hope they don't do it this time...

    1. Considering the size of the player base, I believe that timers are a big part of why people quit. If something isn't finished it brings them one step closer to quitting. I would like the game to stick around for as long as possible but without a player base it will shut down. Games like this should be fun and relaxing and challenging is something you can find in many other games online. More people would still be here if it wasn't for all the timers. A small number of players (most who care enough to read site like ours) can exceed and timers aren't a big deal but for those who struggle you have to ask how long will they stick around for?

    3. We are a small family of 20 and have many that do not participate...so for the ones that do it is tough to finish this family event. The few work there butts off to try and finish this only to get cut down at the end because we were to small in number to finish. So to anonymous....we are not a big stamina based family nor are we a big energy based family...we are just a family that wants to enjoy the game and have the same advantage that the bigger families have that CAN finish these.

  2. Well some families have players that are inactive or have quit and won't remove themselves from the family and the leaders of the family for what ever reason won't remove them making it hard for the active players to get it done. I don't know if they are left in the family in hopes of a return or what. That is why my family struggles. If I had me way I would boot the ones that aren't playing and if they come back then they can ask to rejoin.

    1. You have to be diligent and every family business mwll gives advanced warning, use family manager sum along with roster dates to identify snoozes and ask to remove in the good of the group. but you have to prove possibly for 6 months before any action may be taken

  3. I do not mind a challenge referring to the first post but when you have just the normal amount of energy stamina compared to your level then one or two clicks on one job is ridiculous. To suggest more versatile familes is fine and we have one but will be unable to finish because of the exhorbitant amount of enrgy required. The event is more geared to who wants to spend rp's to finish it. DO I want and extension? I don't really care if they do or don't. I am not nor is anyone in my family spending rp's to finish it. I doagree with MWLL in that is why people are quitting. The timers. Lost them? No, but base the timers on the family size and activity. Zynga knows and could adjust it accordingly. Yes I hate to fail at completing something but it is still just a game. If Zynga does not adjust things then as MWLL has stated before, it is just a matter of time before the end hits. It takes more than CC players to keep a game alive and viable to all. Maybe this is relevant and maybe not but it is my opinion.

    1. good point, zinga knows the family size, as well as each players level. Creating a challenging, interesting, doable within an allotted time frame. They adjusted the cities to our levels, why not allow that within yhis event?

  4. Yes... but then timers should be removed from ALL events... not just the events the stamina heavy families can't complete... that's my point... otherwise it's just another unfair advantage for the huge, strong families... like the VIP bounty... regardless of your stamina pool... you need to get 800 ices in 48 hours... is that fair to someone who doesn't run scripts and who only has 5,000 stamina... compared to someone who does run scripts 24-7 with 400,000 stamina... low stamina players stand no chance... but I don't see anyone asking for extensions on those events... no, it's only the events the huge stamina families can't finish due to low amounts of energy... and THEN it's not fair...

  5. Anonymous, I do hear your point. True in that stamina heavy players do not stand a chance on the energy side of these events. It has become more of a stamina players game except the very few events like this. No it isn't fair but trruthfully has this game ever been fair to the normal player? Not really. Like a lot of things, you either sink or swim. I continue to play the way I always have. If I get something done, it gets done. Do I like it that I or the family cannot finish? Not in the least.
There is so much wrong with this game as MWLL has pointed out in the past but they (Zynga) do not care. Are they listening? You know they are but back to they don't care one iota of the small time player who would like to just finish these obvioulsy ridiculous and almost impossible events. As long as they (like any company) get their money then that is all they ever will care about until the last few players are there and no choice but to say thanks, T-t-t-that's all folks.
Jen and all who run and contribute to this game and blog and all I say thank you.

  6. Oh and to the comment "Well some families have players that are inactive or have quit and won't remove themselves from the family and the leaders of the family for what ever reason won't remove them making it hard for the active players to get it done. I don't know if they are left in the family in hopes of a return or what. That is why my family struggles."
In ours it is in hopes they come back but that has shown to be almost a zero chance. Once most leave that is it unless changes are made in the game. They see that it is still the same old stuff and more than likely say, nope, not going through that again.
