It will take a minimum of 22,000 Sicilian Marble parts to fully upgrade the Mansion. It will take many more parts if your family uses them to heal. The key to upgrading your Family Property is to minimize the number of parts used to repair (heal). There are several ways to accomplish this. The first is to let time do the healing as it’s free. Family Properties regenerate health at a rate of 1 point every 5 minutes [1]. It may not seem like much but in a day you can regenerate 288 points. Hanging on to your parts for a day or even a week can save you hundreds in the long run. This property doesn’t need to upgraded overnight and members can continue to collect Sicilian Marble parts. They should never be used to heal. If it’s determined that parts will be used to heal the property to 100% it should be at a time when many are online and a coordinated dumping should take place. The goal is to get as many parts into the upgrade as possible before the property loses health again. More tips are shown below. Thanks to Jo for helping with this post.
Another thing that can be done to lower the health value of the property is to minimize the Health Bonus. To do this DON’T add any items to the property until it’s fully upgraded. If you already added items, you can replace them with items of low value to reduce the bonus. Baseball Bats are a good option.
As with most of the Family Module features, the more members you have the faster it will go. Rotating accounts in and out to dump parts is a strategy many use. If you can’t find active players to join your family try asking your current members if they want to add their minis until the property is upgraded. You could even have them start collecting parts with their minis and add them later. Once the masses have fully upgraded their Mansion it’s not uncommon for players to join smaller families just to dump their property parts. This is one area in the game where it’s still possible to help out and get that warm fuzzy feeling.
There is some confusion over how many parts you can get from feeds. For once Zynga gives us an option. You can only get 20 per day but you have a choice. You can use a feed scanner or you can ask. Either way you can only get 20 total.
The Stream Scanner is an easy way to grab your 20. Use the search feature to separate the Mansion from the other properties. I type ‘Marble’ in the search and pick ‘Description’ in the drop down. The reset times are funny so if you asked for parts and got them you may not be able to start collecting again until 24 hours have past. The requests don’t seem to be limited so many times you can get all 20 parts just by asking one time. It all depends on which method you prefer.
Remember that robbing Family Properties isn’t the best option. Not only will you make your own family a target but you will also lose some of your own parts when damage is taken. For what you gain, it’s not worth it. I robbed a Level 1 property that was at full health and got 16 parts. Zynga will only let you bring the health of a property to 25% of the level it’s on. Once you get to the next level you can't be robbed back to a lower level. For the 16 parts I receive, the family I robbed lost 375 parts.
I also appeared on their recent attackers list and had I not gotten permission they might have been pissed off about it. In turn they could have robbed my family property and took more than 16 parts away from us. In the end nobody comes out a winner when they rob a Family Property.
Zynga doesn’t give much incentive because the stamina required to attack a property goes up on a gradient as shown below. The experience payout remains the same. Thanks to Steve Roberts for the numbers.

Coordinated dumping cracks me up. Sorry I just don't like any of you enough to consider that!
ReplyDeletevery good
ReplyDeleteGood tip about either asking for parts or collecting them from feeds with the latter being much easier.
