Mexico District 6: Acapulco

Share:

Acapulco is District 6 of Mexico and has a gambling theme with a creepy ending. It unlocks once you master the bronze level of District 5. Like Districts 1-4, there are 10  jobs and the ratios are crap.

map
Although there are 10 jobs, there are only 5 job images and this one has a brutal and graphic ending in which we would expect in a game called Mafia Wars. Capturing someone falling to their death is a little disturbing and those who are afraid of heights might get sweaty palms just looking at the image.

The consumables of District 6 are the Great Deal and the Passing Through. They can be farmed in jobs 2 and 5 and are required for jobs 4,6,8, 9 and 10. Like the other districts in Mexico, the jobs which make these items require currency so you need to have Pesos on hand to farm them. The best strategy is to farm enough items to master the entire district on the bronze level. More consumables are required for District 6 than in previous districts of Mexico because more jobs require then and the mastery is a little lower.

You can’t  make these items in the Pasaporte Office as a new level wasn’t added. I don’t know if this is an oversight or if they just won’t be available from this property. Level 6 is still the highest you can go.

Here are the requirements and payouts for the District. Only the currency requirements and ratios for the ruby level are shown. The number of consumables are the same for all levels and the jobs that produce them are indicated by a check-mark. The total number needed to master the district are in the bottom row.

In addition to energy, consumables and currency, you also need equipment to do jobs. The job equipment items for District 5, their cost and number required to fully master District 6 are shown below. Item costs are not the same for all players because it depends on the status of the Abelha Helicopter which is the Brazil District 4 mastery item. The ruby level Abelha Helicopter grants a 10% discount on City Store items from any destination. The special ability of the mastery item for District 4 will further reduce the cost. The Veloci-dad grants discounts in the Mexico City Store. The costs shown below are from an account that has a ruby level Abelha Helicopter and a ruby level Veloci-dad which grants a 12% discount on Mexico City Store items. The required number of items is the same for all accounts and only the costs vary. You can sell items used in previous districts if you are low on currency. The stats are pretty good and may be active for some account.

There are 5 loot items which job randomly while doing jobs. If they help your scores today they won’t in the very near future so I wouldn’t concern myself with trying to max on them. The drop rate of these items is very low and with the poor ratios it wouldn’t be worth the effort.

Here is a 612 job run for the job that makes the Passing Through consumable. The drop rate is about 40% and the loot items shown above are a dismal 7%. It’s just not worth the resources.

The boss of District 6 is Paloma Rios. These boss fights are like the other 5 in Mexico. Players will always ask about combos and the details on how to figure them out are in the links below. The rewards are also the same and include a variety of consumables, boosts, property parts, currency and skill points.

The mastery item for District 6 is the is the Stacked Deck. When you master the next highest level, you lose the old item. The special ability of this item is that the Mexico Crew Mercenary bonus will last for 3, 6, 9 or 12 more fights. This ability grouped with those on Brazil, Chicago, London and South Africa will give you +310 free fights and may come in handy when you are out of stamina. Upon mastery of each level you also get 1 Vault Door. Districts 1-5 supply enough Vault Doors to fully upgrade the bank. Any achieved after 20 are just extras and will waste away in your inventory.

  1. Great job on the Walk-through, Jen. Thanks, BTW, check out the collectible called the Ten Spot. It's a ten-sided die with 13 and 18 showing on the faces. No wonder the bad guy in this district is mad at the casino owner :)
