Jo Gilliam discovered that there are hundreds of families with 0 members. I can’t figure out how this is possible as it’s impossible for a Godfather or Godmother to leave a family unless they promote someone into their spot. At first I thought this was a by product of Zynga promoting the Underbosses of inactive Godfathers/Godmothers but the last updates are way before that happened [1]. These are different than the hundreds of Bot Families added about a year ago and those are still there too [1]. The difference is that most of the Bot Families have 1 member and it’s a test account. If you go to the last few pages of the Spockholm Family Ranks spreadsheet you can find a lot of families with 0 members and it’s kind of fun to see what they have to say. My favorite one is the MW Ghosts. Those along with some others are shown below. You just can’t make this stuff up!

Im sure they can keep a family running without having anyone in it, sort of, they are after all some sort of superusers.
But i like the mw ghost family too, i want to apply but i cant find any GF or GM or group for that matter lol.
It's possible. I used to be in a family that i left due to personal issues. Some months later the GF booted everyone out and left the family himself, leaving the family at 0 and no way to get it back.
