Challenge Mission: Brazil

Challenge Mission: Brazil is the 13th Challenge Mission and by now you should know what to do. With so many destinations in the world it’s sad that Zynga couldn’t have picked one that already exists in Mafia Wars. This is the first time that a Challenge Mission and an active destination have been available at the same time. Maybe this is another sign that Brazil is on it’s way out. The only surprises we have had with the past few are nerfs related to the consumable requirements. We can’t tell you how many consumables are needed until the last of 3 Chapters unlocks. Like the others, this Challenge Mission contains 3 Chapters and there are a total of 9 days to complete it. If you collect all the possible consumables and stay on the Green Job Heat Meter, you shouldn’t have any problems completing it in time. To activate the collect button to get you started you must first click on the ‘Start the Mission!’ button. If you need more details on how this event works, go here. The specifics for Chapter 1 are shown below.

The help mark provides the in game instructions and a tracker. cm13cm12
The Travel Bar is a looks a little confusing with 2 Brazils on it and I wonder how many times someone will travel to the wrong Brazil! cm15 If you don’t like the tracker in the game, use the Event Meter by Team Spockholm.
At this time only Chapter 1 is unlocked and the next Chapters unlock on day 3 and day 6. In theory, Challenge Missions are pretty simple as all you need to do are jobs. What can make them difficult is the fact that energy and consumable requirements increase as the job heat meter goes up. Showing some restraint and only doing jobs in the green or yellow job heat meters is the trick to completing this event without the need of reward points. cm13 There are 4 jobs in each chapter and the Job Heat Meter does not affect mastery or experience payouts it only affects energy and consumable requirements. Because energy requirements go up but the experience payout remains the same, the experience/energy ratio will decrease as the Job Heat Meter increases. The energy requirements are on a gradient based on your account and will not be the same as the ones shown here but the ratios will be the same. cm8 greenmeter greenjobyellowmeteryellowjob redmeter redjob
The consumable item required for all jobs of the Challenge Mission is the Angel’s Gaze. There are several different ways in which we can collect them and they are listed in the instructions. The ‘Daily Collect’ will increase as new Chapters unlock. For Chapter 1 you can get up 110  per day and an additional 15 if 3 of your mafia members join your Challenge Mission Crew. This number will increase when Chapters 2 and 3 unlock but so do the number of consumables needed for the jobs. Use the links below for more details on how to get the maximum number of consumables. Use the links below for more details on how to get the maximum number of consumables with the minimum amount of effort.

The chart below sums up where and how to get Angel’s Gazes. It’s possible to get 1,110 for the entire event. If this event is similar to the last one and you stay on the Green Heat Meter you will need about 900-950 so there is enough to get this done without spending reward points. You will need to collect most of these in order to master the event. It may not be a good idea to do jobs on the Yellow Heat Meter anymore as it was too close last time. The strategy this time should be stay on Green and collect all your consumables.

We can’t say how many Angel’s Gazes will be needed for the entire event because we won’t know the requirements until both Chapters 2 and 3 unlock. The requirements for the last 5 Challenge Missions are shown below. Take special note of Las Vegas and Bangkok as Zynga increased them on the last 2 Chapters. Many never finished the event because of this [1].

When you master each job, you get +1 Skill Point and the next job unlocks. The mastery item for Chapter 1 is a Flash Dart and you will receive it once the 4th job in the Chapter is mastered. It’s a good idea to get share your accomplishment because the feeds are limited. You can earn up to 5 Angel’s Gazes per day from clicking on these requests but it’s not that easy to find a live one.

  1. Don't rob in Mexico until after you accumulate your twenty Angel's Gaze items for the day. You receive Wrenched Apart items, not Angel's Gaze items. If you haven't already accumulated your allotment of twenty items, the challenge mission robbing counter will show you received the Angel's Gaze items, but you really won't get them.

  2. found that out the hard way. I will confirm it...got wrenched apart items instead of anels gaze.

  3. Geez.... I came here to complain that they changed it so you only receive 1 item instead of 2 when clearing rob boards and I find out from the two previous comments that I wasn't even getting the item I thought I was. (Wasn't thinking much, obviously :-)

    So to clarify the situation:
    - I cleared 20 robbing boards in Mexico and get 20 Wretched Aparts, 1 each time.
    - I received no Angel's Gaze, which is what I actually wanted.
    - The counter for Angel's Gazes received from robbing shows that I got 20.
    - Angel's Gaze will not drop from clearing rob boards.

I did the same thing yesterday and didn't even notice. So now I'm down 40 Angel's Gazes. Wonderful.

  4. Which job has the Angel's Gaze been dropping at? I have spent 90K in energy at the different cities in Mexico just to get 4.

    1. Do a cheap job in New York.
