Level Cap Increase Needed

Share:

In January the level cap of 100,001 was lifted and increased to a reported 130,000 [1]. It came with some bad news in that the experience needed to level was dramatically increased for all accounts passing level 100,001. That didn’t last long and the experience needed to level returned to normal after 2 updates.  It took less than 2 months for the first player to reach level 130,000 and this was indeed the new cap [1]. This didn’t last long either and a few days later Don Seppo started leveling. He got refills, skill and reward points but he still gained negative experience [1]. A new level cap of 154,274 was soon reached and this one behaves like all the previous caps in that you don’t level and accumulate negative experience [1]. It’s time for a new level cap as there are 15 players who have reached level 154,274 and a bunch caught in the bug zone of 130,000-154,274 [1]. Players in the bug zone don’t get any experience from Family Progression so there is obviously something wrong. A new level cap may fix this bug and will definitely make players happy. The players shouldn’t be punished for using viable game features such as the Arena and the high paying jobs in South Africa and now Mexico. If Zynga didn’t change the ways we can level with these features than we wouldn’t be having this discussion. It’s about time they save themselves the hassle and raise the cap to something like 500,000.

  1. How many have reached this impossible-to-reach-without-abusing-scripts-24/7 level? One? Two? Three? And how many daily players does the game have?? 900,000? 1,000,000? 1,100,000? I hardly think this "problem" has TOP priority, haha... with all the problems and thouands and thousands of players struggling daily... THIS issue gets a priority?? AMAZING, hehe... I'm sure if people turned off their scripts and started clicking manually, that they probably wouldn't get 30,000 levels in 60 days, hehe... thus the level cap wouldn't be an issue any longer... just a thought...

Why not adress issues and problems that DOESN'T affect script abusers? I know a lot who still don't use them... and they are all struggling to keep up wih endless amounts of extremely unfair events... weird none of those issues get taken up in here...but people who reached the impossibleeach level cap... that MUST be addressed to Zynga and changed IMMIDIATELY!!!

Try adressing all issues, okay? Also the ones affecting non-scrip abusers... that would be nice and I think that they would appreciate the help too... have a nice day :)

    1. I address all widespread and server specific bugs. I can't address account specific bugs or else this blog would be nothing but bugs. This is a issue that affects any player reaching the levels indicated so I did address it. If it doesn't interest or pertain to you then don't read it. Pretty simple. If you would like to start a blog that addresses every single thing then please try to do it with only 24 hours in a day.

  4. All I'm saying is this... what about all the low levels in that game who have 3000... 4000... 5000 stamina... and DON'T abuse scripts? They struggle getting Ice Seasons done... the struggle getting VIP Slaughters done etc... and thos with low amounts of enery... they struggle to get Joburg done... they struggle with jobs in missions etc. Why not adress THAT issue? Is it fair that a low level 5,000 with only 5,000 stamina needs to ice 4,000 opponents in an icing event trying to get 2,000 pennants - the same as a level 50,000 with 100,000 stamina needs to??? I sure don't think so... and I hope others think that too... but does this problem get adressed? No... because no-one cares about that. And someone with 6,000 energy... is it fair he/she needs to do high energy jobs trying to get Joburg to open? Someone with 6,000 energy may have to use 1,500 energy doing 1 job in SA... that's 4 jobs... and chances of Joburg opening is 1:100,000. And someone with 100,000 or even 300,000 energy needs to jobs that cost what? 12,000 energy? How many jobs for 12,000 can someone with 300,000 energy do? A lot more... whch increses the chances of Jobug opening up A LOT. Zynga needs to change the way things are done... it can't be based.purely on level. It NEEDS to be based on stamina and energy pools... but does anyone adress this? No!

And when a low level 5,000 with 5,000 stamina can't get the Ice Season done in 7 days because they put more skill points into attack, defense or energy... does anyone whine about not having time enough? And that an time extension should be granted - or even making the Ice events last for 10-12 days? No!! But when high level script abusers can't finish a Family Business event, because THEY put all their +300,000 skill points into stamina... they whine here and FORCE Zynga to extend the timers... so that they TOO can finish it... Family Business events aren't for all... nor are Ice Seasons... so, whining for more time is not the way... unless ofcourse it's some one high up.

All I'm saying is... please adress issues that DON't affect script abusers... as I'm positive there are still some out there somewhere who don't abuse scripts and therfor can't play 24-7 like most... I know it's your blog and you can do whatever... but please consider all the players when blogging to Zynga... that's all I'm saying... I think that would be fair :) And if you can make a blog abot the level cap which only affects a few players... I'm sure you could adress the stamina and energy issues for Ice events and Joburg... which I'm sure affects WAY more people then 2 or 5...:)

    1. I understand but we do mention that the requirements for many things are too difficult for casual players. Those issues are brought up all the time. Often we see timer extensions or things made easier after we address them (not saying me addressing them have anything to do with it). I think you are just being selective with your memory and don't like this particular topic. I had many players ask me to post about this and I finally got the time to do so. I think my coverage of the issues is fair and we always provide instructions to use scripts if players are unable to do things manually. The game is unplayable manually and that is an issue we have been addressing since day 1. Maybe review some of the South Africa posts and see that your issues have been addressed.

  5. Why can't they just raise the level cap to a million...

  6. Addressing the issue of the "lower level player" that, (and I quote) "DON'T abuse scripts"....... I myself am a lower level player, daily I might add for the last 5 years, that "doesn't abuse scripts". Yes, I do have to "dig in" when it comes to some of the things that Zynga throws at us, but that is because of something I did and not because of the players that you claim are abusing the scripts. Even if I didn't use a script, I would have the same problem because I didn't build like I should have from the start. Had I have listened to my mentors more closely, I would have more stam, eng, att, def and health than I do now. My bet would be that these "lower level players" did the same thing. Why blame the bigger player for making it to somewhere you or I never will, just because we made the mistake. I say more power to them because those guys are the ones that are keeping this game alive for you and me. In case you didn't pick up on it, I am an addict and love this game and don't want to see it go away to the great Zynga Heaven like most of their games have. My suggestion to those that are really struggling would be to get in a clan that teaches you how to build the proper way or, if you like your clan, contact someone in your mafia and ask them how. Trust me, you'll be glad you did. I myself have about 3 and a half years worth of catching up to do and no, I don't spend money on my account, only what the Zynga gods throw at me.

  7. To Brenda...

Thanks for commenting.... I'm a by no means blaiming anyone for being where low level players will never get... I am fully aware that the problem lies with Zynga... it's Zynga that is causing problems for low levels by making unfair requirements... if that was unclear in my posts I apologize.

I was merely stating that Zynga reads this blog and listens to he owner of this blog... so, all I was trying tp put through was that more focus be placed on these issues... as they affect a lot more than a handful of players reaching the level cap.

Like I said, I know a lot know struggle with Ice Seasons and other stuff... but no-one is asking for time extensions for those players... I am flly aware that they built their accounts wrong... but shoul THEY be punieshed for adding skills to other than stamina and energy? I remember during the latest Family Business event... a lot where on here complaining about no having enough energy... and that led to a time extension... but who will help the low levels when THEY need an extension? Jst because a level 5000 only has 5000 stamina... shold that level 5000 NOT be able to finish an Ice Season? All I was trying to poin out was that Zynga is NOT being fair by stacking people according to level... it NEEDS to be according to stamina and energy pools... and maybe if this blog put A LOT more focus on that, Zynga would start listening.

I am NOT against the proposed raising of the level cap suggestion ether... nor am I against high level players who built their account to play the game - they were smart! All I am saying is... Zynga needs to start understanding that someone with 5000 stamina will be unable to get 4000 ices in 7 days... or it wll be EXTREMELY time consuming... while someone with 400,000 stamina using a script will get those 4000 ices in a matter of hours... I just don't think someone with 5000 stamina and someone with 400,000 stamina should face the same requirements. It is simply not fair. And maybe this level 5000 added A LOT of skill poins to defense... but defense wil do NOTHING for you in events... I just think THAT issue is a little more important than proposing a new level cap for a few players... when the other issue is affecting a lot more than a few.

Otherwise low levels are being punished harsly for NOT having added to stamina and energy in time... and will ow ALWAYS be in a position of struggle... which I don't think is fair... everyone should be able to compete according to their abilities... so everyone stand the same chances of completing events... regardless of scripts...

    1. I honestly believe that Zynga doesn't listen to anyone when it comes to Mafia Wars. If they did this game will have millions more playing it right now. Zynga cares about money plain and simple. If a certain group of players are spending thousands of dollars a month and use scripts to get ahead why would Zynga stop them? Those high dollar players are the only reason this game still exists. So many people have quit over the last few years that the game that I played for over 3 years no longer exists. It sucks but no game is meant to last forever and if the script abuse bothers you then I would suggest looking for another game to play.

  8. To this guy arguing about the system of the game .. Let me tell you this nothing is perfect :) You've to understand that and beat it by different ways .. So many strategic methods you can follow to achieve this game .. Don't give up by taking the easy way i can't do this and that. Always remember you can't be the stronger one .. There'll be always who's above you and under you.

Finally, let me give you advise from my experience playing this game .. You need to get everything done .. Allocate your 5 point of skills to Energy and Stamina .. Build from Global Energy and Stamina :D You'll get everything done.
Attack and Defense will be added eventually as you level up :D
