When the current round of VIP loot was added to the inventory there were 2 groups of items in the same category (defense weapon and attack armor) [1]. This wouldn’t have been very helpful and it was suggested that Zynga flip the stats. Thankfully this happened right before the items started dropping and may account for why there was a delay from their addition to the inventory from their release. The before and after shots of the 2 items that flipped are shown below. With the good in Mafia Wars usually comes the bad and for reasons unknown 6 weekly items were reduced in stats by -1 (what was the point of that!?).
