When it comes to the Facebook News Feeds, most of us only care about Mafia Wars requests. We don’t care how cute our mafia members dog or cat is, we don’t care that Joe Blow has a new favorite You Tube Video and we certainly don’t care about Sally Sues daily mood swings. Fortunately there is a link that will filter out all the rubbish and only show Mafia Wars requests. For some reason it’s not behaving as it normally does. When clicking on the feed filter link, it takes me to a page that suggests I visit the App Center. I found if you keep refreshing using the link, it eventually goes away and a filtered page will load but not the way it used to. Fortunately the issues reported do not interfere with scanning scripts.
When the filtered page does load, I’m finding that there is only 1 request showing and a link to show ‘more stories’. Clicking that usually opens up more Mafia Wars requests
I’m also getting a lot of other game related spam in the Mafia Wars filtered link. When I see these, I hide them but then some other game shows up next time.

DeleteI do not 'hide' I out-rightly block. My block list is past 700 applications on Facebook and grows continually in size. While they may find many ways to "oops, well you only hid that, we thought you meant in this place not that other place" they are bound to respect out blocking of applications.

ReplyDeleteI think it's Facebook, because this is not only Zynga-wide--not just MW-- but it's non-Zynga news feeds too. And it's longer than just today. Issues with feeds began last weekend on my accounts.
ReplyDeletety for all your technical answers so nothin new it's been like that for years & randomly now , always blocking new crap, filterin i see 50% of my friend's post when i'm lucky i guess , scanning 1,000 req/h to find 5 or 10 valid requests , even expert are lost now , we don't need more 'distraction' & they always PUT new ADd$$$ here or there , such a mess LOL
ReplyDeleteI've been spamming facebook's report a problem feature with my dissatisfaction all day. Having the filter link was such a good defense against the crap on facebook. I'm gritting my teeth getting that stupid Visit the apps Center page. I can't believe Zynga isn't screaming at their partner in crime. It's got to be killing all of their apps.

Seriously...I have no life and just sit her and click, click, click ,then give Zynga money, then click, click, click some more...I MUST have entertainment to go along with my game...
