If your Facebook account is having issues, it could be that you have too many pending Friend Requests. For about a month my account has all kinds of oddities. I couldn’t open my inbox messages or notification from the icons, load images, send Friend Request and many pages just wouldn't load properly. I assumed there was something wrong with my account and I patiently waited for Facebook to fix it. That never happened and finally found the culprit and a solution. Pending Friend Requests were causing all the problems. Once they were all removed, everything returned to normal. Removing them isn’t as easy as it sounds because both the ‘Confirm’ and ‘Delete Request’ buttons weren't working. The workaround is to load the mobile version of Facebook and just start deleting or accepting. To start the process, go to m.facebook.com from your PC or go to Facebook from your phone or tablet and start deleting requests. Once a few hundred are removed the buttons on the normal version of Facebook should start working. I don't know of a script that will do this but the time invested to remove requests manually was well worth it. Many thanks to Rene Bradley Jones, Gaurav Khandelwal and Mike Nestor who all helped finding workarounds and fixes to this very frustrating issue.
Long time ago I remember that I got many requests too. It was when zynga started many new games promotion. Example play poker reach level 5 and get a weapon in mafia wars , or play farmvile reach level 12 and get an item in a game of your choice etc. I got rid of those requests easily. Just block the games i did not care much then after a while unblock and all pending requests from those games disappear.

ReplyDeleteYay :), I wasn't going to make this post because I didn't think it affected many players but I figured if even 1 or 2 would be helped it was worth it. It really upset me and I was getting so frustrated thinking FB would fix it and everyday it was the same.
