Zynga and Water.org have teamed up for the Safe Water Saves Lives Charity Event. Proceeds from purchases of the Oceanographer will go to the water. Facebook is not helping so only 70% goes to the charity. The event will last until May 16th at 9am PDT. More details are shown below.

For those wondering how the proceeds are determined, it is explained on this same page. It's really crappy that Facebook is making Zynga send them 30%.
To help this charity, purchase items from the home page or the Marketplace.
The Oceanographer costs 32 reward points each. You can buy one at a time or purchase them in bulk (if you use the home page). Items are not tax deductable.
Once you purchase the item(s), you get thanks and have an opportunity to share with your mafia.
Charity should not be about giving owners of a company money. If you want to help this charity, contribute to them directly so that they will get 100% of your contribution.
ReplyDeleteBut then you don't get the Oceanographer. That's just stupid.
DeleteAnother clueless Mafia Wars player when it comes to loot.
DeleteI hate that Facebook won't contribute their portion of this. As if they can't afford it. It just shows what kind of company they are.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't the folks at Zynga spell? Firstly on the home page banner I am not sure what "saniation" is and on the other post people are dying from "deceases".
ReplyDeleteThanks, I never even noticed.
