There is a new Arena Power Up called the Dual Strike. It will be available for the next 21 days. According to the description, this will “Deal bonus damage twice”. That’s not the best of descriptions because I’m not sure if it only deals twice the damage or is there a bonus that you get twice? it also states that the amount of damage is based on your opponents stamina. They don’t say if it’s their total stamina pool or how much they have remaining. Please comment with your findings. More details are shown below.
Players get 10 Dual Strikes for free once they enter the Arena. After that they can be crafted using 4 Power Cards or purchased using 2 reward points.
The addition of this Power Up upset the balance in the Power Up Menu. If you want to access the Drained Power Up, you will need to use the right green scroll arrow. Use the left arrow to get back to the Dual Strike.
I used a few of these in the Arena and didn’t really notice a difference. Like the other Power Ups, click on the Dual Strike image and shoot a live target. Once you use it, there is a 15 second cooldown timer and you can’t use another one until it expires.
You also get 2X the damage for attacks on the leader and I couldn’t tell if this Power Up adds to that damage as well. Zynga did a bad job of explaining how this Power Up works so it’s hard to say if it will help or if it’s worth crafting.
If you do craft or purchase these items and don’t use them, you will get 4 Power Cards for every one you have in your inventory once the timer expires. What’s odd is the total number you own don’t show up in the inventory so you need to look on the Power Up page in the Arena.
