Flat Rate Arena Experience Payout Needed

Share:

Zynga continues to search for new and exciting ways to get players into the Arena. It’s evident by the wait times, leaderboard numbers and the fact tyou often encounter the same opponents that nothing seems to be working. One move that did help was to eliminate negative Respect [1]. This however came with negative consequences as Respect shifted from a rating a strength to a rating of script use.  The next thing Zynga should examine is the poor experience/stamina ratio anything but 1st place pays. Players with limited strength, stamina or time consistently come in 4th-6th place and there are better ways to utilize stamina.  These same players can rob in New York for a payout around 2.8, fight for one around 2.3 or do stamina jobs for a payout of 2.26.  If all payouts were the same and comparable to the other stamina options, more would utilize the Arena. Ice rewards are on a flat rate of 1 per 500 stamina regardless of placement so why do ratios need to be different?  On occasion, Zynga offers “Happy Hours” giving all players the same payout [1]. The next step in the right direction would be to make this permanent.

Another factor that is confusing in regards to ratios is the less stamina you use, the better your ratio. Although you pay a cover charge to enter an Arena, you get it all back. As long as you don’t have a score of 0, you can earn a lot more experience.

One of my pet peeves is Zynga doesn't tell you what your ratio is when you finish an Arena. They only tell you how much experience you got. In theory, you could calculate your ratio but they also don’t tell you how much stamina you used. The only way for a manual player to even know their payout ratio is to know exactly how much stamina they used and that’s not always possible in the event of a level up or if you didn’t start an Arena with full stamina. Those wanting to know their ratios have no choice but to use scripts.

  1. yes.. it is obvious to me when you play arena with limited stamina you will get more experience.. Arena adds 10 stam for 10 seconds (100 arena) and 50 stam for 15 seconds (500 arena) 90 stam in 100 arena and 300 stam in 500 arena. actually i was thinking to try out playing 500 arena with only 200 stam .. and getting 1000 XP.. but no need now.. your screen shot above says it all ..

  2. Better yet, get rid of the Arena and more property builds and open some new cities following the dropped story line.

  3. the arena makes it too easy for people with high stam to get ahead without having to add anything to attack or defense and that is not right. First it made getting ices pointless, now you lose nothing for coming last, which makes respect pointless and now a flat rate for everyone.
Why dont they just make us all level 100,000 and give us all the same att/def/health/stam and then just add 1 xp for every second we are loaded into mafia wars, then we can all see who can get the most brass knuckles in a day and we can all take turns winning.

I am no where near the strongest player and i lose fights all the time but i win a lot more then i lose, I cheat and take every advantage i can, but thats what mafia wars is all about isnt it? and i would not still be playing if it wasnt for all the spockholm tools i use everyday, but the arena will be the death nail in the game, there is no point fighting anymore like there is no point in doing jobs anymore when you can get more stuff for less effort in the arena.

They need to make it so that if you arent strong you wont win, you will lose..... get rid of the 500 stam per ice and make people fight for their ices again and if you want to level up in the arena fine but you have to be able to win by using your strength not just outlasting every one else with 100k of stam

  4. The arena gives me the ability to get enough damage to be able to assist with family progression, something I could only do by fighting in Vegas all day and using all of my stamina to do it. I am also able to use my stamina much faster thus spending a lot less time in front of the computer. I for one, enjoy the arena. As far as the rest of it, I don't care

  5. Why would you be fighting in Las Vegas when New York provides the best xp for fighting\robberies.
