The following was posted on the Mafia Wars Blog. Looks like one of those Harold and Kumar type of events with a voting component. The items haven’t been added to the inventory but the server images exist. Hopefully we will get insight into the number of votes so we can see a more realistic representation to the number of players left. One question I do have right now is if this event is called 'Face-Off", why aren't the sheep and gazelle facing each other? Maybe Zynga can do some quick image reversing to make that happen.

Are you all set to ‘Fight to the Finish’? Face-Off is coming soon! Get a chance to vote for your favorite item and ask your friends to vote for the same! If the item you voted for gets the maximum votes over a 2-day voting period, the winning item will be added to your inventory. Needless to say, all mobsters will be eligible to vote !
So, get set for the FACE-OFF. Make sure you keep your friends close!

ReplyDeleteI want the Gazelle. VIP players are lacking in a defense animal but once I state that then I can see all the non-VIP voting the other way, lol.
Deletelost another $27 in bank charges today, can't afford vip. though Lowest Stats For Active Items: for animal a/d are the same. though if you set up a poll, we can get a consensus, either way, if one votes the majority we can get loot.

ReplyDeleteYes if that is the case then the next 4 will need to be selected that way if you want the loot. We will see if the poll is any reflection of what the winner is. Seems to be 50/50 from my news feeds.
