There is an interesting post on Mashable about the current state of the Zynga/Facebook financial relationship. What that means for mafia Wars, I don’t know. Facebook may not need Zynga but it’s probably safe to say that Zynga needs Facebook. Thanks to Rick Greene for sharing the link on our fan page.

save to say??
ReplyDeleteThey have been like a pair of squabbling siblings over the last 6 months. Maybe divorce is on the cards? and by that reckoning.. I deduce that Facebook is female! :P
ReplyDeletelol, Zynga gets 70% of the money so by default they are the female.
Delete70% Hmm... funny number isnt't that the percent they give from the charitable items bought with RPS... LOL another way to screw facebook as there is no way to differentiate between bought and level rps so zynga just likes f**king anyone who'll bend over.
DeleteI have a serious question: How in the world did Zynga mess this game up? I played the game for 3 years, spent a little, and had alot of fun with my clan. Then Zynga took away EVERYTHING that was fun about the game!! We all know they were aware of the declining players so why continue to complicate this easy game? What's the payoff for doing this? Defies logic and a damn shame in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteHow many of you remember when Gaff Hooks were the weapon to have?
ReplyDeletefacebook is not the only media that holds zinga, my space has a zinga mafia wars as well.
ReplyDeletemafia wars needs its own login portal. username/password. This would allow you to play on any open zinga/fb/my space. One could then spend money, and not worry about having it lost due to rules outside their control.
Mafia Wars on MySpace was closed a long time ago. Same with Yahoo and tagged. Facebook is the only place left, it's not even on their own network (zynga.com) which should be a major clue that there aren't future plans for the game on another platform.
DeleteYup. I used to be a mypace mafia wars player until... :(
