UPDATE: Zynga posted a document on this but pulled it moments later. There is no request for these in your App Center so don't waste time looking for them. If you see the document copied and pasted on a unofficial site, it is no good so don't spend time filling out the form. It's suspected based on the type of accounts that received the notification that these weren't intended for all players.
Yesterday some player received a free gift of 10 Kamikazes from the Mafia Wars application [1]. Zynga changed the delivery system and sent it to the notifications rather than the Application Center. This explains why nobody could find it. This is fine but the problem is way too many players block notifications from Mafia Wars as they are way too annoying. If you haven’t blocked Mafia Wars notifications then use the link below to get your gift. Search your notifications from yesterday until you see the message “50% off on RPs April! Visit & claim 10 Kamikazes”. Click on the notification to get your items. There is no way to make a link which can be shared by all players. You are simply out of luck if you blocked the notifications. There is no Customer Support form so we recommend going directly to Customer Support to try to get them if you care. See below for instructions on how to unblock these notifications if you want to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thanks to Dave McLaren for the information.
There is rarely a day that goes by that there isn't something that pisses me off with this game/company. I had notifications blocked because they are annoying now i miss out on these.

I have it set to 'My Mafia', which is a list of friends who play
Mafia Wars. This way my posts do not bother my friends who do not
play mafia wars.
This has always worked great. However, something has changed recently so that Mafia Wars is now ignoring that setting and posting with visibility set to 'Friends'.
Obviously, this is not cool!
that was a Facebook change, which is just as frustrating.
Deleteseems in their infinite wisdom to improve where it is not necessary, FB made ALL posts use the privacy setting on "who can see my future posts?".
now i have that set to my gamer friends, and when i make a post for my friends and family, i change that individual post.
and yes, i submitted feedback to FB, for what it's worth.

DeleteI am telling ya all that Zynga makes everything in Mafia Wars to make us angry. EVERYTHING!!!!!! From the Pop Ups to the posting issues to the secret drops not working to the still another Pop Up.

ReplyDeleteI understand you didn't receive the link to get the Kamikaze. So far, the game gave some Power Ups to the Godfather or Godmother of each Family. Only one player from each Family will receive the power ups; if the Godfather got them and then gives his position to another player, this one won't receive the power ups.
