The Daily Fix Cycle: How To Get Back To Ruby

Share:

On day 29 of the Daily Fix, we learned that the feature is on a loop meaning one day is removed [1] . As long as you stay within the Ruby tier, you will collect the maximum number of rewards [1]. If you miss a week, you will find yourself back on the Gold tier. Getting back to the Ruby tier isn’t as straight forward as it appears. The good news is, you won’t be stuck indefinitely on the lower tier. The bad news is, it will take 21 days to move forward. The Daily Fix is on a 28 day cycle and everyday, day #29 is removed and a new one is added. If you miss enough days to drop to a lower tier, it will take 21 days to get back to the next higher tier. In the example below, Leonard missed 8 days. Now he goes one forward and one back and this will continue to happen for 21 days. Zynga makes this confusing because they state “1 more Daily Clip till the next Tier” but that isn’t how it works. This would only be true in the case where no days were missed. To avoid going back to the gold tier, don’t miss more than a week. You always go one back and one forward until the cycle catches up. Thanks to Eike for explaining how this works.

  1. You are right in what you say if the week you miss is 7 consecutive days but if it is 7 days spread out it is slightly different. The days you miss are shown as red crosses which move to the left each day. Once a red cross gets to the left hand end it will drop off the grid and you will be able to move forward one square, and so on until all red crosses have gone. So if the 7 days missed are spread through the period it can take a lot less than 21 days to start making progress again.

    1. That's because you go one back and one forward. So if the they are spread out, it won't take as long to catch up.

    2. If they are spread out, then on the days that a red cross drops off the grid, these will be the days that you move forward without moving back. So yes, if they are spread out it won't take so long to catch up

    1. It doesn't end, it's on a constant 28 day cycle. You go back 1 everyday. As long as you don't miss a day, it will always be like that until the feature is removed from the game.

  4. Yes I happened to miss one day, still don't know why or which task it was but there it was. That big red X... well it took me 28 days to finally rid of it and get all the squares filled ;-) I guess it's one way to follow if you slack off lol. Keeps you on your toes.

  5. Important to remember that you not only have to *do* the daily task, but you have to *collect* on it or you slide backwards as well. I unfortunately learned the hard way on three occasions.

    1. That must be what happened to me for the red X that showed up, cause I don't recall not doing the task. Thanks for that info ;-)

  6. I do it everyday and always collect. I am still stuck on the 3rd square of the ruby level?? :/

  7. I keep myself in within the Ruby tier because the tasks are easy for the rewards received. I just don't know what happens after Ruby is complete (Completion? Move on to harder tasks?). For this reason, when I get to 2 or 3 left before Ruby completion, I intentionally skip a day to keep within the Ruby tier.... Is this a wrong strategy? TIA.
