This was pointed out when Crate Bundles were first introduced but I still don’t get it [1]. If you purchase a Crate Bundle, you get a total of 10 items. Breaking it down, you will spend 15 reward points for each crate. If you go to the Marketplace and compare the cost, each one is 12 reward points or you can buy 3 at a time for 35 reward points. To get 10 items, you would need to buy three crates for 35 reward points and 1 for 12. The total comes out to 117 reward points for the same 10 items. Is that guarantee of 1 rare item really worth spending 33 extra reward points? The crates will also be on sale for 8 reward points each during the next Marketplace promotion bringing the total of 10 items to 80 reward points. This gimmick just doesn’t make sense. It seems that Zynga is trying to trick their players into thinking they are getting a good deal.

Do you think zynga can do anything better?
ReplyDeleteI have noticed the same thing and out of 10 crates which i wait for the 21 or lower rp sale price for the 3bundle I almost always get at least one rare sometimes 3 or 4.....ronnie gibson aka DocSavage
