The 7th season of the Ice Board is finally in progress. The loot was added over 10 days ago so there must have been a delay [1]. There isn’t much to tell about this event. Get as many ices as you can during the next 7 days. Ices earned in the Arena count so if you want to be on top you really have no choice in how you get your ices. Only those placing 1st on their Family Ice Board and the top 3 on the Global Ice Board get any type of reward so the vast majority of players ignore this type of event. Season 6 had a Mafia Leaderboard but this time around it’s a Family Leaderboard and you can’t remove the players in front of you [1]. Like all other competitive events, Ice Boards favor the extreme script users. It doesn’t look like that will ever change so Zynga is basically sending a message that script use, even beyond moderation, is ok. For a more detailed description of how the Ice Board works, go here.
No point in even attempting this event, scripts are killing this game.
ReplyDeleteThe top players are already in the thousands of ices and, as you pointed out, Zynga appears to quietly condone extreme script usage, either that or there is zippo they can do about it (because the players are probably paying customers, I don't know).
I would like it if Zynga would take the time to look at top placing players and have a look at who they are icing (their minis?) and how is it humanly possible to achieve these high figures. If it is legit well done to the players
It's possible only in the Arena. Ices from fights take way too long. Depending on how much stamina you have (500 per 1 ice) and if you use refills in the Arena you can get a ton of them in 90 seconds. If you run scripts so you are doing 1 Arena every 2 minutes or so, it adds up fast. I have about 67K stmaina and in one Arena I get about 130 ices. The scripts make it possible to do more Arenas because you don't have to wait for loading. Those who can serial level have a big advantage.
Deletein the last Ice season many people had it completed within minutes due to arena Ices .... my personal view is that Arena ices should be completely seperate to fighting ices but hey im only a lowly player that dont have many funds at my disposable so my comments and suggestions will go unnoticed in the Zynga suggestion room but hey its the game i play not the corporation ...... we all know we aint gonna get past the big dogs so why whine and moan about it get what you can from doing what you do .... its a game people play and at the end of the day its THEIR GAME and they will play it how they choose no point bitching and moaning about it .. if you dont like it dont play it .... stop the moaning its getting old real old ..... and another thing all you Haters of Jen and the service she does for us cut the crap the lady does a wonderful service (off her own back she dont have to do it) and a great job of keeping us all in touch with whats going off in the game 99% of you haters and moaners wouldnt be the players you are if it wasnt for Jens information .. funny you maon and whine about this site but still came by everyday to get upto speed on whats going off .. DeleteI am trying hard to understand how the arena would be better for me regarding ices. I have 8010 stamina. If I understand the way it works correctly I get 1 ice for every 500 stamina used. That would get me 16 ices from my 8010 stamina. I am currently fighting. I have used 7600 stamina so far and I have 35 ices. How is the arena better? Please help me understand. Thank you!

Yes, in your case it may not be better if it doesn't take long to burn your stam from fighting. For those with a lot of stamina, it can take a very long time. Also depends on your ratio to level. If you can serial level with 8K stam then in the long run, you would have way more ices than if you fought. If you can't serial level then it would be better for you to get them fighting.
